I have bought a new PS3 slim 320 Go & I found his basic update was 3.60; so my Question are " I can downgrade it to 3.55 or not " ?

The ps3 came with 3.60 FW installed? If so I don't think it's possible to downgrade to a lower firmware, I think to downgrade the firmware's base needed to be 3.55 or lower then If you had updated to a higher firmware then you could of used ProgSkeet or Teemsy++ to downgrade.

You might be able to update latest firmware and then use E3 Flasher, then you can dual boot 3.72 and 3.55 firmware's.

maybe you're right but what you have mentioned "ProgSkeet or Teemsy++" doesn't exist in our country, so I need a easier alternative to do !.

Fantastic work Rogero!! When I am using FTP and the screensaver begins it disconnects. Don't know if you've seen that or if it's just me.

Rogero, thanks for great firmware, that did solve my trophy error. Do you know whether there is a way to incorporate OtherOS++ into your CFW?

Hi folks - i have kmeaw 3.55 and have just installed rogero 8.5 (from 8.4) and ive tried from a usb and recovery - it just will not load - ive also redownloaded the file twice - used different usb sticks ...and it still wont load.....all help greatly appreciated - zedhead

hello, new PS3 machine with new metldr version (mostly are the 2011 and latest 2010 machines) have all factory installed 3.60+ firmwares and cannot be downgraded, you can only downgrade a Ps3 which had FW version 3.55 or lower from factory.
And About the E3 Flasher being able to dual-boot on these machines with new metldr version, I'm not sure, will know once I get one

Hello,
If you use the built in FTP server then you must disable the screensaver from Settings, no other way for now.
(I personally use BlackboxFTP which works a lot better then the built-in FTP server which uses an old FTP library)

the OtherOs++ patches were the cause of the trophy error that's why I built another CFW without OtherOS++ support

Hello, please give more details about your problem, are u referring to Rogero CFW or Rogero Manager 8.5 package ? and what you mean by won't load ?

Hello everyone/Rogero, would you please tell me what is the step to put your CFW and this 8.5 ver on my new int hdd? I see on the tut there was in 2008/9.
Mine is slim 120gb with ps3ITA 3.55 Kmeaw base. I WILL upgrade it to 750gb internal. I want to keep my back up and saved games (only) from my int and ext hdd to my new 750gb internal. In short, I want to put your new cfw, Rogero 8.5 ver, my back up games and saved games (some are in my int and others in ext hdd) to my system with new 750gb int hdd. Also, do I need to put bdemu2 and fix permission thingy later on? Thanks....
