I'm wanting an 3.55 fw console and this is what they have at walmart anyone know the firmware version these have? Thanks

the infamous 2 bundle will probibly come with 3.60 as that is what the game requires to be played. i would sugest you going to a pawn shop or game store and request to see what firmware the ps3 is on before you buy it.

I thought the game required 3.55 then If you install the update, that would make it require 3.60.

No, you're right kamel. It's a 3.60 game. The first update released, however, was released with the 3.55 keys. Therefore, you take that update and apply it to your game, ensuring it was the one you needed, and you then had a 3.55 copy.

The later updates did give you 3.6x once they added more updates though, as with a bunch of other games nowadays.

The only way to downgrade is with an mod chip right? I have an old usb spi nand flasher here i used to jtag xboxes with can ps3 nand be flashed this way?

You are right and wrong. You need something known as a flasher in order to downgrade. Flashers, such as Progskeet, teensy++ and the up coming e3 flasher are the ones that do the job.

Thanks. But for the prices of these mod chips I'll just sell my 3.65 fat and buy a 3.55. Or might just stick with my good old jtag. Thanks for the info everyone.

remember also with the e4 flasher etc you can duel boot cfw/ofw so you play ya back ups/ homebrew then if you wanna go online and play with your friends but only games with disc then you just boot up ofw , so ucan enjoy both worlds on your ps3
