If you've not done it so far I'd delete it off you're Ext HDD and try ftp'ing a new copy without splitting the file over to your internal.

I had the same problem, Ico working perfectly but blank screen/spinning dots on SOTC. Think it was to do with splitting the file. Even copying over from ext to int via multiman (which, as I understand, auto joins split files together) didn't fix it, used an untouched copy of it, FTP'd and used select + x and it's working perfectly now.

Exactly. FTP to internal HDD, fix permissions in MultiMan and that's it. Tested, working like a charm, 4th colossus killed 10 minutes ago.

same here i tried installing it with multiman but then was told to update to 3.70, i then went back into multiman and did the select + X then i get the 800 error

It does not work via split files, transfer it VIA FTP.

I have the retail version and ripped it to the internal. Kmeaw asked me if I wanted it in 3.55, I booted it from multiman, and I get the error message every time. I fixed permissions as well.
