Can we reverse the XMB class photo with the music?

Your question doesn't make much/any sense.. Do you want to merge these category's together or remove them?

If you'd like to remove them, I think PS3MFW Builder v0.2 can remove certain ones, if you make your own MFW using it. If you'd want to put their items in one column, then editing SFO files is the only way I can think of (for example, delete one category, then move everything from it to another).

Open your PARAM.SFO of whatever application you want to move, then edit the following letters to move it around. Credit to Samson and NZ Hawk:

AM = Music
AV = Video
AP = Photo
AT = TV
CB = Network
HM = PSN
HG = Game

yes you can ,

go to dev_flash/vsh/resource/explore/xmb/category_photo.xml and dev_flash/vsh/resource/explore/xmb/category_music.xml on your ps3 copy them 2 files to your pc
then open category_music.xml with notepad ++ or some think like that , copy and paste every think in it and put in category_photo.xml but delte every think out of category_photo.xml 1st then save and put back on to ps3 and where photo was music will be and it will work the same if you do it any of them

yes you are able to but you do it in a diffent way as u need a program to be able to do it , it is easy though.

1) download RCOMage v1.1.0 link here http://www.multiupload.com/VYCMKL6IDM i think there is a v1.1.1 if you google for it im sure u find it .its also used for the psp too

2) extract the file and in the folder you will see "rcomagegui" thats whats your going to use ,

3) go to your ps3 and go to dev_flash/vsh/resource/ and look for explore_plugin_full.rco and put it in the folder where rcomagegui is then make a folder called "explore_plugin_full"

4) start the program up click on dump at the top

5) click on browse on the same line as RCO input and look for the explore_plugin_full.rco you got of you ps3

6)click on browse on the same line as XML output and search for the folder you made called explore_plugin_full and click on it then save the xml file as explore_plugin_full

7)click on browse on the sameline as resource and make sure it on the folder you made called explore_plugin_full because when you change more than one rco file it does stay on the one you done before

8) all the other stuff should have a tick next to it apart from dump raw text instead of xml maybe slow

9) press dump at the bottom and wait till it says RCO sucessfully dumped
10) now go into the folder you made explore_plugin_full and you see a foler called images /text and a xml file called explore_plugin_full
11) go in to the folder called text
12) and open up engish with notepad ++
13) at the top you will see <Text name="msg_tv">TV</Text> change the bit TV to Homebrew so it looks like this <Text name="msg_tv">Homebrew</Text>
14) you can do the change all the other ones too eg <Text name="msg_net">Network</Text> change to <Text name="msg_net">Pizza</Text> what ever you like
15) also you can change other stuff too like <Text name="msg_power_off_console2">Turn Off System</Text> thats when you get the option up and it says Turn Off System you could change it eg <Text name="msg_power_off_console2">Turn Off PS3</Text> and it say Turn off ps3 ,

16) once you changed what you want and saved it then go back to rcomagegui and click on complie click on browes on the same line as xml input and search for the xml file called explore_plugin_full thats inside the folder explore_plugin_full
17) click on browes on the same line as RCO output and search for the folder you made and click on it then save it as explore_plugin_full then click on complie
and wait till it says RCO succesfull complied all done if you look in the folder you made you will see images folder , text folder the xml file and you new explore_plugin_full.rco which you will need to put back on to the ps3 in remember to make a back of all the rco files you edit just incase
18) now on ya ps3 it should of changed if not turn ps3 off then back on

also you will need to do the same for explore_plugin_game.rco so that when you in game and you press the ps button the menu there will be same as xmb when you not in game

all the file rco in dev_flash/vsh/resource/ can be edit like you just did ,

o yeah if you engish is not you main language and eg French was the you edit french in the text folder and so on for what ever lanuage your is ( i thought i put that cos other might see this and wanna do it .

wow this this is the longest help thread i wrote lol remeber when you put the files back on you will need to have write acess to dev_flash i think mutiman has got it built in ive never used it but ive use devblind if you need anymore help or u get stuck im always happy to help

at the moment im trying to put music , video and photo in one catogory which i have done but stuck on the search on usb as it only search for one not all but i get it working

you can switch the categories each other. and you can put links from other categories there. i could move the complete settings menu with debug options on rebug to friends but only ingame -> useless.

i also could make links from game category to tv category and on tv there were all my sorted game folders from game category without the other game stuff.

you can make nice stuff there. and someone told me it shuld be possible to alter the icons also, if rcos compiled on linux.

Small problem with Rcomage.
I use Rebug 3.55.4 and that can not extract the RCO.
Path not found, run time error 76
Do you have a solution.
