Ok so i was in the scene when it 1st started, using the USB dongles ect. Now after a long break i have come back to my PS3, only to realise my dad has updated it to 3.72.

I want to be able to downgrade, but I am not capable of using a soldering iron. Not at all. I need either a dongle solution, or a clip on solution.

All help will be greatly appreciated.

Ok so from what i understand, you can no longer downgrade via a usb at 3.72.

Also once i use either E3 or Progskeet, do i still need a USB to jailbreak the ps3?

Gosh, wish i kept up with the scene now :P

no u dont need the usb jailbreak also with the proskeet and e3 flasher you can dual boot cfw and ofw and a switch of a button

So i would be able, for example, play CoD Black ops with my friends since its original then switch to my CFW? Without getting banned?

I have a ps3 with a buggered BDdrive.

Can i still jailbreak that(using my usb) and play games without the need of the bddrive working?

you can install 3.55 cfw but one with a blu ray by pass so it dont put your ps3 into a update loop you can build one with mfw builder . not all games work discless but check out this list and see what games runs discless or not http://www.pshomebrew.net/wiki/PS3_B...atibility_List

Ok, thanks. Just checked that list, a few cannot be played discless, but can be via BD-Mirror. Is that a sort of blu ray emulation that allows games to be played?

yeah i think you use thats when games are stored on external hdd
