I am experiencing difficulty changing the assigned memory card. The Memory Card Utility in XMB is not actually changing the assigned card when I launch a psx game from multiman. It is stuck on the memory cards I had assigned from previously playing my legit FF7 PSone classic.

Of course recently I changed the hard drive and now do not have credentials to launch my copy of ff7 (or any of my other purchases of course) just to change the memory card.

I assume that launching a psone classic if available would provide a more reliable way to change the mounted memory cards, of course this is not something easily attainable on a CFW.

I just wanted to mention this in case anyone else has a similar issue, or in case it helps Dean in any way.

-- Sorry if I posted this in the wrong spot.

Cheers everyone.

Use file manager in multiMAN and remove/rename the cards you don't need.

They are in /dev_hdd0/savedata/vmc folder.

multiman 2.07.07
3.41 Hermes FW
game: Street Fighter EX Plus @ NTSC-J (RETAIL)
Status: not working

well, i tried both emu & net emu methods and to no avail, i get the BSOD. MM does not even recognize the title on the list either to have the choice to rip. Btw, oddly enough i do see a ps1_newemu.self? I also tried that one & i still get the BSOD. if i can't play these on 3.41, then i don't mind waiting for another method to come about. PS2 game compatibility, now that is a different story.

Totally love the support for PS1 games in multiMAN!

Although there is one little problem I stumbled upon, not sure whether it has been posted already though;
Although my savefile is showing up in game (even after reboots and what not), it isn't showing up on the Memory Card when I look at it through the XMB memorycard utility....

And seeing as you kind of support running PS1 games through multiMAN now, whether they are backups or originals, wouldn't it be a swell idea to create a database with all the names and codes of games so that the multiMAN XMB wouldn't show "Playstation one Disc" but would show the name of the actual game inside the drive?

I have always loathed Sony for not supporting this, every PSone and PStwo games has a unique ID and because of this, it shouldn't be too hard to set up a little table of names and ID's and show the appropriate name on the XMB, for Sony anyway.

As for multiMAN, wouldn't it be neat if there'd be a way for users to submit these ID's and Names to some sort of central database online which you can download in multiMAN so that the names of games show up on the XMB ?

Anyway, I'm rambling, great work on this piece of kit! loving it!

:Hello: @deank
In case you wish to show the name of the PSX discs:
You can use this file

It contains a TXT file with all games with names that I found. I omited the game ids where the name is not available. It also contains a folder with a set of txt files containing the games grouped by gameid.

The idea is that you could get the name of the game reading sequentially in the file, choosing the proper file by the game id.

I hope it can help you.

All posts unrelated to this forum's topic are deleted. I don't need this jFW crap here. Sorry folks. Let him work on his thing and see what he'll bring. multiMAN has nothing to do with JFW anyway

Thanks dean. Sorry I derailed it for a minute there. I can't help but want to troll the JFW creeps.
