I do realize this is a fairly old thread, but I have some questions that I don't think were answered in the previous pages.
If you had never played blu-ray movies before downgrading, are you able to re-enable blu-ray playback after downgrading to 3.41? I haven't played blu-ray movies, and haven't backed up any files on the ps3 before I did the downgrade, and now I am on Geohot's 3.55. Still no blu-ray playback though. I can still play games fine though. Btw, I have a fat 60gb console. What can I do to re-enable the blu-ray stuff? |

Yes, it is the CECH model, and I believe that it is the first generation of fat's that were released. |

QA flag requires certain firmware and a special .pkg and then a button combo. what CECH.... CECHA, CECHB, etc this is to help determine what firmware is safe to downgrade to. I would downgrade to 2.20 then back to 3.21 then 3.41 or 3.55

Alright, that's what I thought. I'm on 3.55 geohot, so then I should install 3.55 ofw, and do the button combination to go down to 2.20? I can't remember what cech it is, I'll check asap.

I'm not sure if I'm affected by this?
Bluray movies. First I tried it on 3.41 hermes 4b dongle. Couldn't copy or playback from Multiman, playback was fine from XMB. Then I updated to ofw 3.55 and then cfw kmeaw 3.55, installed bdemu2, 2.09 multiman. I can still playback my bluray movies normally from xmb, but no luck with copying from Multiman. I starts copying but it reports 0 bytes and takes a long time to do nothing. Any ideas? |
