EA mining your computer for data, Eulas going nuts now.

I may be a bit late on this, but just a heads up to everyone who may happen to be both a PC gamer, and have their eyes on the Battlefield 3 Open Beta. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news...ion-of-Privacy ...Plain and simple, scary. Whats with all the Eulas trying to quietly snatch away your undergarments in your sleep?

Gonna try the open beta but from what I've seen so far on streams the game isn't going to be worth putting up with Origin. Time will tell. Sure as $hit not getting it for PS3 but!

Hey, just thought of this, but can't you just put something into the hosts file or even your router to block any type of transmission to EA servers?

I know this worked back for an Adobe updater thing, where you add 4 lines into your hosts file to block transmission.

Que pasa?

i think lot's off ppl would say that. c'mon big companies, first google sniffing wifi = IP's " cell phones, ps3, pc's" signals with sniffing cars, and that's not a rumor but the truth, they even accesed some unprotected wifi connection, but they offcoarce denied that.
First your personal information is not safe on the internet, and now not even on your HOME computer, thank god i know how to setup a secure wifi channel and how to setup a router to it fullest Protection.

I am sorry for the bad grammer, i am dutch, and i didn't learned english in school, only from gaming and watching tv and movies

Your English is good, especially if your self taught, but your dead on. The only way you can guarantee your privacy is protected is to protect it yourself. I'm starting to notice companies that have a "privacy" policy use it as a means to get around the law in violating your privacy, I used to think it was the other way around where a privacy policy is their policy to protect your privacy.
