The greatness keeps on comin....

Great job Deank.... The MM train keeps rollin. Not for sure if anyone has ever asked this but what is the hardware difference between a ps3 that has backward capability and can play original ps2 games without mods vs one that can't unless it has mods installed? If the difference is just software couldn't it be copied and modified to where it can be installed on other PS3's via .Pkg? Might be a dumb question but I am just tryin to help the scene with what I can. I don't know much on developing and C++ or I would help out more. I do have computer literacy, so if someone could point me in the direction of reading material and developing programs I would try to put some stuff out. I am not one who cares about the fame n fortune but rather the furthering of the community. What ever happened to Paradox or Ferox ISo loader?

@deank

could you try following:
mount a ps2game into dev_ps2disc/insert ps2disc and then boot into ps2lpar

result = lv2_sm_shutdown(0x8202, NULL, 0);
(boot_ps2lpar, according to the awesome developers at gitbrew)

this may have been asked already but, isn't it possible to have a psx iso extracted to a folder (like a ps3 backup) and map it to bd drive using the payload, then launch the ps1emu from multiman to run the mounted folder?

I'll check tomorrow if I have time. I tried loading the ps2_lpar but I had no success. It needs the GX lpar too to be loaded.

I'm actually having the same issue as well. Same specs except mine is an 80GB.

I can install up to 2.07.00 (FULL) but if I try to update to 2.07.07 or install 2.08.00 (BASE/FULL/UPDATE) it freezes before it can get me to the XMMB.

I have uninstalled it and reinstalled a couple of times and BDEMU2 as well.

So for now I'll stick to 2.07.00 until something's figured out.

And thanks Dean for all your hard work. Keep it coming.

Dean...
There are issues when I try to start Showtime (with 2.08.00 BASE / FULL)
PS3 Black Screen
With miltiMAN 2.07.07, the latest version of Showtime's worked well
