so i have seen many posts saying about playing those ps2 games on ps3. My case is i have a ps3 slim i am on 3.55CFW .. i would like to know if there is any way to play ps2 games?

only with a cobra dongle. atm.

I have cobra dongle on 3.55 slim and the ps2 games still don't work.

Sorry, there isn´t any way to play PS2 backups on PS3 slim (it can be done only on "backwards - compatible" Fat PS3s) yet.

yeah its suppose to work but mine just black screens on everyone ive tryed and i think its not gunna be very good anywaY. i kinda regret buying it noe might sell it , but i guess its ok to watch imports and things like that

I'm not going to advise you to use piracy but download or rent these tittles in PAL
Resident Evil: Outbreak (24-60fps)
Grand Theft Auto: 3 (45-60fps)
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (45-60fps)
Silent Hill: Origins (55-60fps) (notice the same tiny graphical issue that PCSX2 has with the fog and the zdepth, if you can notice it at all)
Soul Reaver 2 (50-60fps)

All of them work. My cousin also confirmed that F1 and Tekken 4 work but I can't confirm what framerates...
You should tell us which games you tried and they didn't work...

Only early NTSC PS3's with 4 usb ports have the hardware Emotion Engine and will be 100% compatible. All other models can only run PS2 games by software emulation (with Cobra for the later models) making them less compatible....

Ps2 emulation is only usable on the older NAND models newer models like the SLIM aren't supported even with the COBRA dongle

They also say the software emulation is more a gimmick ...
