I can't find a way to remove my account.
Can I do it myself or does an admin need to?
Just get Adblock...it is a good idea to begin with, but going to HACKING sites without it is like going to a whore house without condoms.

Heck, the mods and admin even advocate AdBlock...if there was anyone who would normally be against AdBlock, it would be them.

...And yes, the system seems to be broke...without AdBlock the full screen ad comes up every few links...but at least the current ones don't forward you to viral websites like the old ones did.

AdBlock blocks the redirects...or at least it does with firefox, I can't speak for lesser browsers.

The NoScript plugin is also useful for getting rid of javascript popups and ads when adblock can't, plus adds a nice level of security against javascript exploits.

Not really a set it and forget it type of solution like adblock because you have to whitelist sites to get legit javascript to run but I like the feeling of control it gives you and the added protection.

You obviously don't have it set up properly, i get ZERO front page redirects, ZERO front page ads and ZERO forum ads, but that's because i have my Adblock+ set up properly....

I have never kept any secret that i hate ad's, but the are a vital part of any community, the front page redirect ones however have no part in any community and should be banned completely from the internet.

Send a message via MSN to pbanj
just installing adblock will not block ads you have to go into settings and subscribe to a block list in order for it to block ads http://adblockplus.org/en/getting_started

also every forum has ads, to be butt hurt over them is childish

Concur. I've used their "easylist" for a long time now, and there's maybe a handful of ads that ever make it through. Then I just block them manually.

Best bet that easylist.
