easy way to fix this is to right click on DOStoPS3.exe and goto "Run as administrator"

Hey folks. This is a great program, I got one made myself yesterday and it works great, easy to figure out too. Just have one question. I tried using the icon option but my .png didn't show up on ps3, so does it have to be a certain size or dimensions?

The problem is that it says that for everything, even things without that file. Makes me think that maybe it crashed and left some temporary files behind that are gumming up the works.

Since this converter program is based on DOSbox, and DOSbox works on windows, you might try setting up the program from there.

Awesome release! Can't say I'm glad to see people passing around copyrighted binaries here, but to each his own (I'm no cop).

Guess me making weekly releases is kind of pointless now?

You've tried "Run as Administrator" I'm assuming? Any file (not just that file) residing in a protected directory tree will result in that error, without the proper permissions.

I don't believe there's anything left in the temp causing the problem, because I programmed it to overwrite if such a file exists. Although it's completely possible I may have missed a line. Try this for me and let me know if it changed errors or worked:

1) Goto windows explorer (file browser) and type %temp% and it will take you to your Window's temp folder
2) Look for a folder that starts with "DOStoPS3_" and delete it. (this folder shouldn't even exist, though a crash could've left it)
3) Try making a pkg again and let me know what the results are

If it works or gives a different error, then it's something that I'll have to look into.

Also I thought PS3HAX was against providing links to illegal downloads, but yet they don't mind posting links to these PKG files, which due to their contents (as they have contain the complete games) are illegal (those games are still under copyright just like any current PS3 game).

Lemmings collection, Cannon Fodder, Blues Brothers, all these games are NOT free and it's illegal to download them..

This tool is no problem to link to, as in itself it doesn't do anything illegal, but personally I really don't see the advantage of this tool if you already have dosbox running on your PS3..

The difference is that you can launch specific titles right from the XMB.

Sure, this program isn't groundbreaking or anything, but it does make the process of setting up DOS games a lot easier for novices since people can upload PKGs that are all setup already. These packages might technically be pirated...but when we are talking about games that haven't even been available for purchase in over 15 years and which have not been updated to work with windows, it is hard to see who gets hurt. If anything, it might help sales of certain reboots like Duke Nukem. Anyways, most people are just going to be getting games for nostalgia...and that means that they already paid for them long ago. Personally I am really wanting someone to upload Normality...I spent half the night going through my old disks and I can't find that one!!!
