I'm having a problem with MultiMan, I ripped a BD movie Tropic Thunder to my internal, then ftp'ed the files to my pc, then I proceeded to delete the files from my PS3 internal, but I never got my 44GB back. All that remains is an empty folder within the GAMES folder that I cannot delete either from file manager or FTP.

I can't seem to get those 44GB back and I calculated all of my installed games, files and so on, and the 44GB is still missing. Any help is appreciated.

Forgot to mention, I'm using MM 2.08.01 and 3.55 Kmeaw on 300gb (80gb original) Fat PS3.

Quick question, if psone covers support is added eventually what would be a suggested image size? I have all the ntsc covers jpg files at 600x600 ready to resize.

This is a real blow to me that this has now changed!

The first major issue I found was that it now makes picking the 'music' option for background menu music lose the 'random' playback functionality (as I have my albums as folders in the MUSIC folder on the external hd). Therefore now setting 'theme audio' as 'music' I get nothing Choosing a track from a folder plays all tracks in that folder then ends Whereas before it would happily skip through most of the mp3's in my collection in that enjoyable 'wonder what's next' way which made the Ipod Nano thing so popular

To me, it's also a real pity I have now lost the satifying sight of all the movies and series showing in the video column along with the dedicated jpg I attached to each.

I am probably in the minority here, then I suppose I shall have to concede, and I appreciate some people may have 1000's of mp3s and 100s of avi files etc in each, making their menu may look cluttered but I honestly think it is a shame for those, like myself, who haven't gone ott. After all, MM can display 1000s of emu roms.

However granted it does group each album/series into individual folders but as we cannot have a folder.jpg for each it is a pity that we are back to the more basic icons on display. Now if folder icons could have their own jpg AND be displayed in the xbmm....

I unfortunately have no room to move both collections to the internal so again it's a real shame this feature (which was an improvement on the actual menu) has been disabled.

Would the addition of this as an option in the setting menu be something you would consider?

eg,

Expand the Contents Ext VIDEO on/off
Expand the Contents Ext MUSIC on/off

If not, would it be possible for the XMMB menu 'music' option to retain the random selection of each track from the ext MUSIC folder?

when I noticed multiman would bug out on it I switched to Rogero's and
pretty much have had no trouble at all (no idea what cfw was on the ps3 prior).

Ok, for many other reasons, that I wont go into here, and that are all over many other forums, I'm staying on OFW, CFW does not grant you much over OFW, (some game compatibility yes, but not much), the only real undisputed reason to go CFW is if you have a PS3 that was bought after the 3.41 OFW. My main reason for staying OFW, and it is a solid one, is at any time, I can go back to a fully PSN capable device and update to full newest firmware without any consequences. That is something that anyone running CFW can not do. I've been running on 3.41 OFW since the very birth of the PS3 JB scene and most custom firmware does nothing but get back the functionality that was lost when 3.41 was no longer available at purchase.

Deank, I updated multiman to the latest version and now my Fba and Vba roms don't show. They have always shown before, any ideas? They are all on the internal Hdd.


Update: I deleted the latest version and went back to multiMAN+ver+02.08.03+UPDATE+(20111001-153000) and everything is back to normal.

Hi Dean, I agree with what sakuraba stated a few posts ago - I loved that I could see all my movies in the video column along with all the covers (that I spent days on!!). I think it would be a good option to allow scanning USB for media content as a setting, with the default set to 'OFF'. I can understand the annoyance it causes you when people are constantly complaining that hard drives are crashing/freezing and they post their 'bug reports'. I myself have never experienced any such problems, and I'm sure many other people haven't also. I personally feel as though this is a slight step backwards (for this particular part) as it was much better before.

I don't know if anyone else found this method out but i was reading the thread above & ZOMBIEKILLAH had a way of making PSN content,Demos,& Homebrew show up in MM and boot @ App home.. (most things work unless its paid PSN content)

Would it be possiable to add custom Genres names in the Game Column?

Example in options.ini you could change the name of the current genres to anything they wanted?

If its not easy.. Then i rather you focus on more important things.. If it is easy and you feel it important i would be very thankful..

Also is it possiable to reset a Games genre to Nothing.. I know i can change it to other ones.. but i cant change it to nothing... (where it just shows in GAME all) (UPDATE: figured this out "other" is the main game section)

As I posted in this thread, it works, but it's only on demos and stuff that dont make a licence check since these kind of games allow to boot only from dev_hdd0 and only this and there is no way to overcome this issue without a GameOS hack which wouldnt cause some issues with your already bought stuff and some other instabilities in the OS.
Also the first step to allow such thing in games that require such checks is defeat PSN's NPDRM, which haven't happened to date atleast...

You can go from cfw to ofw without any problems. They gave me free games when I updated my ps3 from cfw kmeaw 3.55 to 3.66
