Had to update to 3.72 to play the new F1 2011 game. Anyone else have a deadline there going to update on, i tried waiting for a new jailbreak but after a year of waiting not playing F1 was the last straw hahah. Missing the jailbreak but what can you do. Fingers crossed for a new JB for Uncharted otherwise it looks like ill be updating again :'(

LoL...talk about a bad time to upgrade! You could still get an E3 flasher and a second hard disk and switch between firmwares as needed.

You updated for a game like F1 >.<
I could have understood if it was a decent game, but i guess each to their own.

I guess your only option is to downgrade when you need to, as i really don't see a new CFW happening, any time soon.

Hey I've been weighing my options up too because of this game. Guess you need to be an F1 nut like me and Caddyroo to consider it... but I am tempted.

I understand people don't like the game, but F1 is my favourite sport and pretty much the only game on PS3 that i play. It was a really hard choice but i had to do it :P.

Yer i looked at this route but seen as I only really play F1 on the PS3 and then spend most of my other gaming time on Halo or Gears spending more money on the PS3 wasn't really an option for me. never mind the hassle of having to switch between CFW. Doesn't seem to be any new CFW coming but one can always dream :P

uncharted 3 is my weakness -_- but i hope something happens by that time :O

I'll have to do it for Uncharted 3 and Final Fantasy XIII-2, i cant possibly miss those games, but i'll be sure to get an E3 flasher or ProgSkeet to get back on 3.55 fw (have to check prices but its cheaper than getting another PS3), others like MW3, Battlefield 3 or Batman Arkham City i can wait and get them on the pc (and i actually prefer FPS on the pc)

To each his own...some people like F1, and the recent rule changes mean that F1 2011 is a lot different than F1 2010.

At least you always have the option to return to the good fw version so all isn't lost :-)

if UC3, Twisted Metal 5, Arkham City and.... there was another game, come out before any viable solution, I'll be updating.

TM5 and UC3 alone are worth it.
