Actually, you can't play PS2 games on most fat models. When I bought mine they were still using PS2 game support as an advertised feature...it wasn't until about a week later when I got tired of playing GTA4 that I popped in a GT4 and realized I had been scammed. At the time I thought, "heck, I can wait...GT5 will be out in a month and I preordered so I will have it on launch day"...it was over 3 years before GT5 actually got released.

"Yourgrandma"...actually you're wrong. Xbox360 emulates xbox 1 games via software. That's why only 90% of the games work. If it were hardware based it would support 100% backwards compatibility.
1. So stop sucking facts out your thumb and using it against people 2. Dude...take a chill pill. We all entitled to our opinion I for one agree that sony are what you call "corporate criminals". It doesn't take a doctorate in law to understand what is happening here : Anyone who tries to sell you the same product twice is in so doing, trying to take you for everything you have. All they care about at the moment is there own personal financial gain. They lost 2billion dollars with the ps3 at launch (ps3 costed $850 to make and they had to compete by selling them for $600 at launch) that's why they desperate to make money even to the extent of sucking there customers dry by using old games. AND...do you realy think that when ps4 is released, that they wont then start selling "Ps2 Classics" off the new and improved PSN, and try selling them back again? Or how about reselling the ps3 games on this futuristic PSN? Trust me...this is something sony would definitely do |

LOL DirectX last I checked was an API. The original Xbox uses the RISC intruction set but relied on modified pentium 3 to process information. The Xbox 360 uses the xenon cpu which is on the power architecture and also uses RISC instruction set.

Yes, it did...on the back...in small lettering. The fact is that I wasn't part of the scene back then...I wasn't tracking every last sony announcement on their twitter account, and I didn't read the entire box in the store...I doubt many people would do any of these things. It launched with BC support and the removal was extremely quiet, in fact when I did a web search back then, all I could find was forum posts about it...nothing from sony saying anything about the feature removal...but I guess that might have been on page 50 of the google results.
