i agree its been a problem for a long time but nobody knew or cared, and the only reason we do now is because we are in a recession, and even with that a lot of people still don't care, but non the less at least people are taking an interest in what goes on behind the scenes. it might not be like in other places where people are being killed just for speaking there minds, and i'm not trying to say that what's going on here is even close to what goes on in other places, but for us its a step forward

It may not be as bad as lynching, but abuse is still abuse, even if not taken to the extremes you mention. I don't think calling the protesters here 'spoiled children' is in anyway accurate either, but that's just my 2¢ |

No, I do not agree with the protest. It's too unorganized and without a main goal of any kind. Or at least it does not have any kind of visible goal other than to cause disruption. Basically saying, something like this has little chance to change anything because the people protesting have no clue what they want to accomplish with it. Just disrupting Wallstree will not cause the economy to go up. :|
The police also are not doing their job right, pepper spraying/tear gassing people that have not done anything is police brutality. Not matter what you say, it is what it is.

No indeed not, but i do live in a country, where you had to duck and avoid live ammunition, or rubber bullets to the face, merely for protesting peacefully, people from Syria, Egypt and Libya, all suffered equally the same as people did in my country and all for the right to live as a human being, but i guess being shot dead and being brain damaged with rubber bullets, is nothing compared to getting arrested, for b*tching over university charging to much for fee's. I mean, getting shot dead, is surely better than getting arrested, moaning over money is also surely more important that moaning over human rights and freedom. /me leaves the house and asks a British soldier to shoot him dead........ |

don't forget that america suffered though the same **** to gain our freedom it was just so long ago that people forget.
************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* besides it's not about the fact that we aren't getting shot or fighting for freedom it's that we are making a point to the people that run this country that we don't think we are being represented and that we want things to change. we aren't fighting because of school fees Last edited by kljash; 10-04-2011 at 03:27 PM. |

Thats what makes the whole thing ironic, you don't actually know what you are fighting over

we had a war to gain our independence plenty of protest before that resulted in people getting killed for no reason plenty of people died for our independence and freedoms just like everyone else. Slavery was and is wrong and is a terrible part of american history. and eventually they fought for there freedom and rights even though the ignorance of most people back then was out of control we aren't protesting that we are poor, we are protesting because corporations have for decades controlled the government in there favor and the actual "want" of the people has gone unnoticed. Now that the people are suffering they are finally taking the time to realize this and try to change it, and the problem isn't that we can't vote, it's that our vote hasn't counted for a long time Last edited by kljash; 10-04-2011 at 03:53 PM. |

I know this may offend some people, but facts have proven, and especially in the last decade, that America itself wants to control the planet and enslave every other nation to their will and control.
In all honesty, I have to side with Greg on this one, as regardless of how good the other peoples points are (I have liked a few lol), he is right, and the people protesting are just spoilt brats who if they had any realistic concept of reality they would run away screaming. |

i don't disagree with Greg a lot of what he says is true, but not everyone is just *****ing about nothing, and it is sad that everyone just looks at this like a joke. Maybe when there is a leader and more powerful people can get the real message across something will change
