They have not said anything about that particular model. However I have the 160 gb unhackable ps3 and will be receiving my e3 flasher pretty soon. I will let you know if it works or not.

cheers but i dont need to know if it works or not as i havent got one of the new slims i got the old slim , i was just saying what i did because someone said it works on all slims and ive not herd anythink if it works on the new slims or not , main reason i said so other people knows incase they got a new slim and buy e3 flasher and it dont work , etc . as you got new silm let us know how it goes so every one will knows but be carefull cos if it dont work you could end up with a brick

I'm wonder if i should bother with this... Though the dual boot option is tempting, the solderless clips will no doubt start coming out for progskeet and I'm planning on modding a xbox360 as well. I'm just going to wait a bit.

Thanks, i was waiting for confirmation to buy one. thanks. so it works on ALL PS3 SLIMS!!! oh yea and i read that the one that t hey are shipping does not need soldering right? becuz it comes with a special CLIP? cuz i dont want to open up my slim if i need to solder , i might as well have bought the progskeet if i was gonna solder, right? lol thanks for response

Well it is confirmed there will be no soldering for slims however we are not 100% sure it works with the new "unhackable" slims. i do not see why it wouldnt because it will be written directly to the NOR flash memory. I do own the new unhackable slim and will be reporting on these forums once mine comes in the mail, whether it works or not.

Hey guys!

Does anyone know exactly how the fast swap works? I know it can be used to downgrade from 3.72 OFW, but I didn't understand if it flashes a new FW to PS3 NOR every time we want to switch between OFW and CFW or if it just switches between PS3 NOR and E3 NOR. Any clue?

I'm assuming it just switches between PS3 NOR and E3 NOR. Now, lets say we set up 3.72 OFW on PS3 NOR and 3.55 CFW on E3 NOR. When a new OFW release is available can we just update it normally (using a USB disk or PS3 online update, without using E3)? Or we need to wait for a "modified" OFW version to flash using E3? In other words, when everything is set up and working, do we need to use E3 flash function to do anything other than FW downgrading or backing up?

Is there any instruction manual available that explains all those switches and everything?

the best thing to do when a new fw comes out its just wait till e3 flasher devs and proskeet devs comfirms that the new ofw works , i cant see why it wouldnt work but i say it best to wait ,it only be a hour or so , till they comfirms like they did with 3.72 ofw ,

there no manual yet but there will be soon , cant wait till the 10th

i swear i read somewhere that its impossiable that the new unhackable slim cant be downgraded becaue sony did somethink , but what about ofw on the ps3 and cfw on the e3flasher , maybe that way would work but best thing to do is email the e3 team . that way u know for sure

why dont it make sence ?

lets say i got a slim on 3.55 cfw but i want to dual boot so the i get a e3 flasher so i can do that and put ofw on the e3 flasher

or lets say i got 3.72 ofw on my ps3 but want to downgrade .i use it to downgrade to 3.55 but then i decide i want to deul boot on so i put ofw on e3 flasher and leave 3,55 on the ps3

or even a better reson why . lets say im dual booting 3.55cfw and 3.72 ofw.
3.55cfw on the ps3 and 3.72 ofw on the e3 flasher then lets say 3.73 ofw came out so i install 3.73 on to the e3 flasher then found out that sony stoped it so now i cant dual boot but i still got cfw on my ps3 so ibe happy .
but if it was the other way i had ofw 3.72 on the ps3 and 3.55 on the e3 and then the 3.73 came out and i install it on to the ps3, then u find out it dont work and u cant downgrade so now you got a ps3 with ofw 3.73, you just lost cfw

so why dont it make sence because it does to me having cfw on ps3 and ofw on e3 flasher ,

im not saying that 3.73 + will stop downgrading or dual booting but no ones know for sure till the fw comes out i was just using it as a example for above
