@deank ,
I have noticed that if you enabled the "Direct Disc Access", the Copy option is disabled when you press for the BD game (PS3), but the Copy option when you enter to Game Settings stays enabled.

Fading Star/PSX icon seems to have a weird behavior on different scenarios (depending if you start multiMAN with or without a disc or if you eject and reinsert the disc): sometimes it appears static (the old-black-PSX icon), sometimes it fades, sometimes it fades even if there is not a disc inserted, other times it doesn't show at all. I had a couple of freeze trying it (the off button didn't work).

I just wanted to give you the feedback... so far it is working fantastic!!

THANKS AGAIN

The copy option won't work anyway, so don't worry. It will give you an error message.

There is no need to 'try' the "star" icon if you don't have a PSX backup or PS3 backup (DVD/BD) in the tray - that's why it says "Start Game from Disc". If there is no disc inserted - don't use it.

All 'behaviors' of the icon are are as they should. It will appear even if no disc is inserted - otherwise you can't start some PSX games.

I tested it and all is working as it should. Use multiMAN for PLAYING GAMES.

There are too many scenarios to cover and multiMAN works with all of them. You see different things because of the way the PS3 is. I can't explain all now but all works fine.

If you do it probably will FREEZE your PS3.

Agree: "all is working as it should". Great work MAN!!!!

EDIT:
No, there is not a problem here, deank. Sorry! It was not directed to you.
I just wanted to warn others what would happen if they use it without a *disc*.

Yes, if you launch the STAR icon without a PSX or PS3 disc it will freeze. Not 'probably' but most definitely. I don't see the problem here.

DISC = Optical
DISK = HDD (or obsolete floppy, non-optical)

There is no other way to keep all working. Of course if the user is not paying attention to what's on screen - no one is at fault.

At least it did that on my PS3 after I used your method to check my memory card and see if it has anything in it, and copied it back on the ps3. Thank you very much for your help, I can finally enjoy all my old games, and be able to save too.

Also, thanks for mentioning me in your tutorial, even though I did nothing XD
No worries pal but I've also noticed that too!

After all, your post helped me with improving the clarity of the tutorial that I have posted - thank you.

PS: This quoted comment will be included in the tutorial as well as it has helped me gain access to my memory card images on the PS3 via XMB - thanks again!

Wow - I always get confused with the spelling differences of that word - thanks for the clarification Dean

Sorry for the off-topic comment though!

One last thing Dean - I sincerely apologize if I have posted the multiMAN updates on PS3Crunch without your permission, but I hope you don't mind!

If you have any queries, feel free to drop me a PM on here - thanks!

No problem, gDrive I can't post everywhere anyway

So to all about the changes in 02.08.10: Don't post your comments/questions without taking 1 min of your time to read and comprehend what I posted. If you can't understand it - you don't need it.
