Custom Theme Tutorial Please?

There is allot of information in this section but not in the category of creating a custom theme although some of it seems like it would be similar. I am new to this and would like to make my own custom theme. Can any of you theme experts do up a tutorial for people that want to learn please? I would be very grateful.

Here is every thing you need to create dynamic themes from the 3.60 SDK
Code:
http://www.mediafire.com/?11mkxhzceyay4ih
Read RAF-Specifications_e.pdf for creating raf files and if you want to create your own scripts PSJS_Language-Specifications_e.pdf

I made a short guide on making video image sequences in to themes. you can do the same to your own image animations made in photoshop just like i done with the I love my music theme.

and you can read Glowballs threads for ideas on making themes.

Thanks guys, I didn't realize anyone responded to this. I have been trying to find info out on my own with help of Google and was getting ready to re post in here that i was having trouble finding a good pkg extractor because the two i tried gave me no luck. one freezes up and the other gives me errors. I will definitely look over the info you left. Thanks again

Why do you need a pkg extractor to make themes?

The pkg is used for heavier themes. We use P3T. I starting work on decoding the files in the pkg to the theme with a friend but we have not gone further resort because nothing was concrete.

Isn't that how the themes get installed? by package? I was trying to take an existing theme from a package and extract it and use it as a template to modify it for how i wanted it to look. I could extract the the theme package with ps3 psp package extractor/decryptor but i could not edit anything or even open anything.

No you just install themes from a USB stick or external HDD

Creating or downloading a theme on a PC

When you download a theme from a Web site or create a theme using a PC, make a new folder named [PS3] - [THEME] on the storage media, and then store the theme in this folder. Theme files must be saved with the extension [.P3T].

To install the theme on the PS3™ system's hard disk, connect the storage media that contains the theme file to the system, and then select (Settings) > (Theme Settings) > [Theme] > [Install].
