Happy with my 3GS (second hand) great phone and well does everything I need (yes that includes flash)

( I also have a magic and had a iPhone '2G')

But as some of you know I detest macs, for the price of a $5000 mac you could custom build a better (much better) system for 1,500$!! (yes that's like 3/10ths on the price I think so for 30% of the price for a better system or for $1000 you could build a similar performance PC. (and ofcourse install mackintosh if you really want OSX that bad!)

What I was disappointed with was the price. Will there ever be a iPhone at the retail price of $300?! $650 is to much for a phone. I hate contracts because I usually end up paying more than the retail price.

They are still planning to sell the 3GS and the iPhone 4 alongside the 4S. (for lower prices).

The world won't end if you don't have any phone at all...but when you have a 2GHZ smart phone with a web browser and you can't even watch videos, that is a serious problem...especially when Adobe tried to give them the app for free. As for downsides, I can't really think of any...flash only starts when you click on it; it isn't like on a PC where every flash object starts by itself.

Resolution really doesn't matter. I can hold my phone so close to my face that my nose activates the touch screen, and I still can't see pixels. Size is what counts...and the iPhone series have tiny screens. Plus, they don't even have Gorilla glass.

The price is on par with top-of-the-line android phones...but the specs are on par with economy android phones. My sensation 4G was only $200 with contract when I bought it a month ago, and it is better than the iPhone4S in every way.

Serious android fanboys here, I think one thing I definitely noticed with my iPhone over my magic was how less buggy/slow/annoying it was and how much easier/efficient it was to do stuff. And yes a htc magic was bad but the original iPhone was bad too (Which is what I'm comparing it to).

Personally I really don't like Android...but it is the lesser of 5 evils...iOS isn't just limited to crummy hardware, but it is also limited by apple...and even when jailbroken, it still has very serious limitations. Windows Phone 7...well, anyone who has tried it knows what is wrong. BB has worse hardware than iOS, and the software is worse as well. MeeGo would be great...if there were good phones or software to run on it. That just leaves android...not a great solution, but the best currently available.
