I had some games with install data saved into the external usb hdd. After I had updated to the latest version of multiman, these install data are disregarded and the game writes the install data into the internal hdd.

Looking at the game settings I noticed that the the option Ext Game Data can be enabled but the option is greyed out. Enabling the option still saves the game's install data to the internal hdd.

Since I only have an 80gb internal hdd I prefer to have some install data on the external hdd. How could this option be enabled again?
Make sure that "BD Emulator" is set to Hermes in XMMB Settings. Restart and try again.

I just bought my first ps3 today and it was already modded with MultiMAN. I've figured out how to get around it quite well so far, the only real question I have is...no matter what 'theme' I install it always has these falling sparkles on the screen...is there anyway to turn that off? I've looked through all the settings to no avail...

Oh, and also...when I got it, it had Multiman 2.00. or somewhere around there on it, so I updated it to the latest version.

Everytime I run it now, it says:

WARNING!

Your installation of Multiman is incomplete!
Please install BASE or FULL version or you may experience graphics display problems!

It never said that before, but despite that fact everything seems to run fine.

One other small issue is the cover for 'Infamous 2' is set to some stupid 'Quiz World' game, and I can't figure out how to get the right cover for it. It's really annoying...

Any answers to any of these issues is greatly appreciated.

Your version of multiMAN is too old, you could not do the update.
Remove and install multiMAN 2.09.00 BASE/FULL

for 'Infamous 2' displays the cover depends on the Game ID. The cover is named as Game ID
Game ID EUR is: BCES01143

Thanks for the response Dino...could you elaborate on how to do this or link me to a tutorial for this? "Remove and install multiMAN 2.09.00 BASE/FULL"

I understand how to download the latest multiman package and put it on a USB and install the .pkg, but how do I remove the old one?

and doing this I won't lose any of my copied games will I?

I believe that what he meant was for you to delete your current version of multiMAN and install version 2.09.00, but you dont need to delete your current version, just go to the first post of this thread, under >>> DOWNLOAD LINKS <<< you'll find links for the Base and for the Full versions of multiMAN. If you think the Full version is to big to download (it has a LOT of covers included - it will fix your cover problem) then download and install the Base version over your current one - simply put the .pkg on the pen and install.

If you dont have your ps3 connected to the internet you can go to this topic and download the covers you want/need, like Dino05 said the covers have to match the games ID (this is just in case you dont want to install the Full version of multiMAN).

If you have your PS connected to the internet then if you go to the Settings column on XMMB and enable this option:

Download Game Covers
Adjusts whether to download missing game covers.

multiMAN will download the most recent covers for your games.

To solve your sparkles overlay problem, still under the Settings column on XMMB scroll to the

XMMB Sparks
Changes display setting for sparks overlay in XMMB display mode.

option and disable it, you might also want to disable/change this option:

Screensaver
Turn on screensaver after specified amount of time.

If you dont see these options then while on the Settings column press and select Advanced Settings and you'll have acess to these and more options (i dont have access to my ps3 right now and i dont recall if these options are available on Sandard Settings)

Since you are new to multiMAN i advise you to check the multiMAN beginner's guide - GBAtemp.net

Regards
