multiMAN recognizes psp games in XMMB

I got bored while watching GamerSuper videos so I tried it myself. I looked at how he had the folders setup or w/e, so I pretty much did like he did with the directories and all. I got China Town Wars to show up in xmmb game category, but with no logo. It won't boot either. It was worth a shot though.

my source? I just did it myself

and I must add, I think I did something wrong. I don't have the logo and the music showing up like he did, it just says 'grand theft auto chinatown wars'

Maybe soon Dean will implemente PSP emulation, yesterday i was looking into the categories in retro option and it shows snes, nes, gba, and "PSP". So maybe in the future .... who knows.

okay, check this:

I dl'd chinatown wars last night. Today, I watched his video again. While I was watching I paused at a certain point when I could see the folders. So I made a ChinaTownWars ps3 directory. In that folder, I made a PS3_UPDATE and PS3_GAME folder. PS3_UPDATE is Empty. PS3_GAME has...USDIR and SYSDIR from the psp game. I made TROPDIR myself, it's empty. Also PS3_GAME has all the files like param.sfo and icon1's and stuff from the psp game. I put it on USB Flash Drive, and copied it to hdd0/GAMES (where internal ps3 games go) using file manager straight from MM. Then went back to XMMB and it's right there under my ninja gaiden sigma 2.

and yeah, to add:

I put Armored Core: For Answer disc in, and you know how the disc you choose from XMMB usually mounts? Well the mounted disc icon was grey as opposed to blue or gold, or black and said 'unsupported data'

Of course it won't boot if you put PSP files in a PS3 game structure.

I was checking the PSP Launcher from Cobra, and first thing I noticed is that the Data Type is 'MN' in the PARAM.SFO

Inside the USRDIR, there are two files and one folder: ISO.BIN.EDAT, MINIS.EDAT and CONTENT.

Inside CONTENT there is a EBOOT.PBP, which I guess is a hacked loader that I presume requires the Cobra dongle connected as a security measure.

Decrypting the EBOOT.PBP, reversing the ELF and recompiling it again with any security measures removed, then it should make possible to execute some ISOs of PSP minis. This is obviously not an easy task
