If anyone read the leak that "square" did, idps for cex systems are EASY to get. Hell it's even easier now then it was with those tools.

@zombie , not entirely sure since the idps is usually console specific as well.. you MIGHT be able to but it would require a lot of work to actually get them working (or at least some modifying ) also, lv2patcher + asbestos launcher + a usb drive. Now you can't complain you don't have a usb drive over 1GB since EVERYONE has at least two. That is MORE than enough for linux, also petitboot can load off of usb drives as well. :P

with this you can get the flash.bin and then use norunpack from f0f to extract content eg. eEID...

I will be completly honest i already have PSN 60+ games already on my new ps3 .
I just want my cod maps ,for zombies .If it will be that hard to activate on my new ps3 ,i will just hope DUPLEX or a better tool will come out like the XboX dlc unlocker..
You don't even need to have the dlc tied to your xbox with that tool .. SONY sucks !

Microsoft lets you get away with murder. Then even xp,vista,win 7 windows users 50% of windows cracked= MS they still give you support/updates ,lol

I am happy with my setup ,i have 4TBs in externals & 1 PS3 with 1TB internal + 1ps3 500GB with all DLC + a OFW 372 500GB all DLC ..Just want my cod 5 maps + black ops maps i bought .i already have the maps 4 ever now ,just need to activate them on new ps3 + have all my rif files + act.dat from my activated PS3 to use on my 3rd cfw355 is possible..

Thats how you can easily get your console IDPS:

1) Dump your NOR from GameOS using dump_flash.pkg
2) Open it in hex editor and search for IDPS using this example - http://www.ps3devwiki.com/index.php?title=IDPS

Just search for first 8 bytes. For example: 00 00 00 01 00 84 00 09, where '84' is USA target ID and '09' is CECH20A slim motherboard revision).
It's 16 bytes long and you find it twice. Here's example of my IDPS:



Also, I compiled unself2, but it throws error when I try decrypt game update eboot: 'Error decrypting metadata: No such file or directory'. But I don't have act.dat from my ps3, maybe this is issue.

So then, silly question, is this JUST for reactivating NPDRM games, or does it also apply to all the DLC we have as well (Rock Band track packs and such). And if so, would this allow us to copy the .rif and .dat files from other users PS3s and use this activator to allow us to share our DLC amongst ourselves?

It's for decrypting NPDRM games and dlc. After decrypting you can repack it as free content and it will run on any ps3 without need for act.dat/*.rif and psn activation (like any DUPLEX releases).
