i agree with evilsperm ; for example i bought Agarest Wars from psn and still have the full game plus its rif files but the act.dat "magically" disappeared when i installed an otheros++ enabled cfw.
So, for all those in a situation similar to mine(no act.dat or rif files) this method is pretty much useless. |

It wasn't intentional Anyway figured out what this was good for =) Fully on games not demos/trials Shame if most of you lost your act.dat/rif its of no use for you unless someone will release the the already cracked games to you :P Last edited by evilsperm; 10-12-2011 at 08:06 PM. |

Great tool and a good if not great hack.
Mad props and uber respect. Now I can finally start trying to revive my dead PSN games. It wont be easy but this is a huge start and should be lots of fun. Dusting off the PS3 again. Thank you! Last edited by erexx; 10-12-2011 at 09:11 PM. |

If anybody wants, try that:
http://www.mediafire.com/?2pl9obuijt8c6dg Please give it a shot. ISO.BIN.DAT is worth a look, well also the rest of the files. PS: If you are curious why on earth would the PARAM.SFO have enabled all Video Modes it's because PS3's PSP emulator runs at 960 x 544 & 2 x MSAA at HD resoltions but the result streches in the first and last 4 fields when using 1080p and in 720p it uses a different supersampling method that warps no pixel fields. Different implementations/ideas also in the rest resolutions, with a big exception in 50Hz modes since PSP can't run (at all) to anything else that an exact multiple of 30Hz. PSP emulator can't do a pulldown correctly so I advice using anything 60Hz mode, otherwise, you'll notice some stuttering or slowdowns that are not normal at all.

Anyway, I did backup my HDD over FTP so I have all the files. I just dont like copying over the act.dat file everytime I reboot just so I can have my LBP theme running. If someone could do that one theme for me thats all I want. I have all the files just not sure how to compile it so it removes the protection. Oh, I upgraded my HDD so i had to format and now the system doesn't recognize the new HDD so it refuses to keep the act.dat and it gets deleted on each reboot. If there was a way to keep the act.dat and not have it deleted that would be even better then I can play all my PSN games and downloads without editing each and every one. |
