If so its possible somehow... Not so sure about the icon appearing correctly meaning that the game is mounted. Its easy to create any installation/launch point with any icon or pics using an eboot of your choice or a properly created application pkg. The system will follow the parameters of a valid SFO regardless of the app or game data present. I assumed that the EBOOT.PBP is the emulator. Removing it would remove the emulator. If that's correct and even if its not it might mean editing the boot.bin to load the game files from some other hard coded location. If using the SFO with the the MV switch is all that is takes to trigger the InternalPS3 emu then what RikuKH3 suggested should work. You should be able to change the EMU's SFO ContentID (game code) to match the PSP game. Recreate the PSPemu package, install it and there should be no more complaints about the ContentID not matching the install point for that game. I wish I could reproduce or test any of this. I wont be able too for a few more days... |

I'm not such an advanced user! I can provide though the fully decrypted and extracted EBOOT.PBP that this launcher has inside if you want me to. I would love if somebody could help me! Note that every EBOOT.PBP must be SIGNED not UNSIGNED like homebrew. I'm pretty sure this is one of the reasons why most people fail getting to work games like Angry Birds using this Launcher. Obviously, they downloaded a warez ISO from a random site which comes from a signed EBOOT.PBP. This ISO apart from unsigned (ISOs are always unsigned) in order to function they use patches, which cause the emulator to hang. If anyone wants to play a game they don't own or it's a PSN demo in EBOOT.PBP format they should convert the untouched PBP file to ISO. 75% of the games around the net are patched for M33 which is incompatible with this emulator and 80% of them may say that they are untouched but in reality they contain some minor changes to the SFO and the BOOT.BIN files so they can be launced on a completelly unmodded (OFW) PSP, which are also incompatible.

Gave this a go, not sure if I know what I'm doing.
Couple questions though. Is the act.dat essential? I couldn't seem to find it in my extdata folder. How can we tell if the EBOOT has been decrypted successfully, Will Cygwin output a .elf/.self without it being decrypted properly? (I ask because I've seen it output one while giving errors & also at another time claim an outputted .self is not a self) |

Can somebody provide an example of the param.sfo used in "PSPmini" and "PS2classic" when the content is installed ?
I mean... not the param.sfo insde the .pkg .... but the one that is placed in HDD after the installation If somebody wants to help use a private message to send the files, because i have no idea if there is private (or per-console) info there This can help to "mimic" (or tweak) this kind of content... and to document more variables, categories, ATTRIBUTE flags, etc... Btw... "PSPminis" category is "MN" right ?... but what happen with "PS2classics" ? There must be another category for them (asociated with different variables) and an asociated icon like the photo of the pspminis icon that VIRGIN KLM uploaded PS2classics = category "CL" ???? (just especulation) If VIRGIN KLM theory is correct (and i believe it is) this CATEGORY will be needed to trigger the PS2 emulator Last edited by sandungas; 10-14-2011 at 10:20 AM. |

Duplex didn't buy their psn content. They used the official demo of the psn game, installed it, decrypted the npdrm eboot using the free key. And then just patched the demo to crack it to the full version. Unlike 360 xbla though they all have to be done individually though there isn't a specific byte that will unlock all games. What mallory released will let you do this too.

They come bundled with a specialized emulator self optimized for each game. The important resources are missing from 3.55's FW SDK so PS3 has no idea what these games are so they show up as Corrupted Data and we can't fix that. It's a feature we won't bring on 3.55 ever.

according to your post, not much ressource/time is required to accomplish that. (legit ps3 / sniffing demo url) and since scene is all about "1st", one could expect that of a scene grp. but back to topic, thx to Mallory / JuanNady for helping us out. finally ill be able to play my 3-4 legally purchased psn exclusiv's again. |

No, Don't get me wrong. I wasn't saying it was trivial or easy. They still have to figure out the key and figure out the algorithm to decrypt the npdrm eboots. That involves way more than I know. I'm saying I looked at the decrypted demos eboots and the duplex releases and that's what they did. Usually just changing one opcode, a nop here, or a bne to beq etc. Also if you open up their install pkg in their releases you can clearly see it is installing the official psn demo of the game. Then they install cracked demo eboot that the decrypted from the demo and re/patched. At least the ones I looked at.
