Can someone explain what alle EXE files do? What's for example the difference between ungpkg.exe and ungpkg.exe? Why are is there no explanation? What's the difference between unself and unself2? Why does nobody include a link to info or a simple instruction manual. Having to search 2 hours around the net to find how to use a program is getting old.

What is the command to decrypt a demo ISO.BIN.EDAT?

You can't decrypt the PS3 versions of those files, NPdecrypt can do the PSP ones.

I felt mislead by VIRGIN KLM so I deleted the post.

VIRGIN KLM you should have told everyone you were not using the PS3 iso.edat.bin but the PSP one.
Somehow it sounded like you managed to decrypt an edat with these new tools.
If its wholly my misunderstanding I apologies.

Yeah, It's that the posts I did, quote after quote evolved from ontopic to kind of offtopic. I started to guess that people were getting mislead but it was kind of late, I'm sorry for that too. I actually tried the tools on it and if I didn't have used them I would have never guessed that there are different kinds of EDAT algorythms.(PS3,PS1/2 Classics,PSP) 3 different types of algorythms (All very close though). Thank to the different kind of errors I recieved with these tools, I got led to find out that this one is a PSP algorythm EDAT that is already defeated (Used on mimis and DLCs). Followed a tutorial and tada, it worked.
My guess is that with a change those tools could completelly decrypt those files too, it seems to understand what's going on inside them but it fails on some stuff I'm not aware of...

I install Cygwin and i have all previus .ps3 with all kay

I like the process more than anything, these new discoveries have brought fresh air to the scene.
I wont do IRC or Chat and don't really want to completely leave the scene, sometimes tho the BS is just too much.
Respectable forums are all I have, but I can do just fine on my own.

This "iso.edat.bin" is interesting in that the PS3 apparently does not reject it outright or ask for a license.
I have the original XAI demo... its a license locked demo... so I want to compare this "defeated" one with the original.
I am also curious to know if the license rejection is coming from the edat or the eboot.pbp
My guess is that the edat is at least used to pass license and decryption information about the eboot.pbp.
The MV SFO might be triggering the built-in emu its very hard to tell.
I have experimented with the XAI demo in the distant past but couldn't do anything with it.
Again most anything can be packaged, look and sound pretty, even appear to run but really its not doing anything special at all.
It will be a few days before I can look at any of this.
