PS3Jig for PSP doesnt work(?)
Hey everybody, I didn't want to bump an ooold thread but I wanted to ask something that seems to be a common problem.
I tried to use PS3Jig app for PSP that puts PS3 on Service Mode. I'm on 5.00 M33-6 PSP-1003 and I have a PS3 (CEHCHH01) on 3.55 Kmeaw (not spoofed) and this is what I did: 1. Put the app on PSP and boot it from XMB. 2. PSP comes up normally with the USB related messages, all seem to work fine. 3. I power on my PS3 from the I/O switch on the back and I do the fast known jailbreak trick of Power - Eject buttons. 4. PSP comes up with all successful messages and that it's ''Done.'' but PS3 instead of shutting down, it just boots normally on Retail mode. Can somebody please help me with that? I searched around the net and I found out many people have the same issue. Some say say something that you need to keep pressing the power button till you hear a beep (?) or something but its way too unclear/doesnt make sense at all atleast on the way it's formed as a phrase. Also is there any other way to enter Service/Factory Mode without a jailbreak device? Thanx!

There's this but I have zero clue how to do that. Also I need a tutorial how I can put Ubuntu 11.04 on an external drive, It's kind of tricky I heard.

BTW there must be an app or somebody could make a simple app that would make the challenge command to boot on the next reboot on factory mode. Somebody could use the source code of the PS3Jig as a reference, I guess it would be easier.

Back to the link you posted earlier, it tells of these files, but do you have any idea on how to get the files and/or more info on the subject? Like how then to exit service mode? |

As for the issue with Service Mode you can exit it using a USB stick containing Lv2diag.self. That's all.
