Ok all I want is a reference, where is the reference? I understand the code but if I don't get the context, what's the point?

Working with dont documented code is very hard, but I'm get difference between Unself and Unself2 by the practice. Difference is not important and you can just dont think about it. Unself copy unknown section, Unself2 dont. Or versa, I'm forget

@Octopus Thanks for the info.

I was going to try to unpack a PKG using these tools instead of PSP_PS3_PKG_Decrypter_Extractor_v.1.0.0.0 and even that doesn't work:

You should say that it doesn't work for you, that tool works perfectly fine for me, as does many of the other tools i use.

Check the PC tools at the bottom of my first post, i have more to add, but those ones work just fine:

Does anybody know what files the time-limited playable demo's check before they boot?

For example sonic generations checks something on the ps3 to see what the date and time is.

What does it check?

I know that. And the code is really comprehensive as it's written in C#.NET and has good comments in the code. I tought you could use unpkg the same way as PSP_PS3_PKG_Decrypter_Extractor_v.1.0.0.0.

PSP_PS3_PKG_Decrypter_Extractor_v.1.0.0.0 works perfectly.

unkpg.exe doesn't work for me.

Why is that? Is it to extract a different type of PKG?

Ok sorry guys. Now I was trying this command:

unself EBOOT.BIN EBOOT.ELF

I'm getting:

key file: /home/USER/.ps3//ipds (ERROR)
self decrypt header failed
perror: No such file or directory

I put all failoverflow keys + the keys in NPDRM stuff in:

C:\cygwin\home\USER\.ps3

I did put EBOOT.BIN in:

C:\cygwin\home\USER
