Is someone able to test metal gear 2 and 3?

Why? Does it gives you some error? No supported message? Or just don't boot correctly? It seems that ppl on 3.55 slim are having problems.. I will see if i can test this on a slim console with 3.55, to see if it's normal, and if just work on 3.72 slim version.. I will see if some friend have for me to test..Or maybe find a way..

Only had 1 legit game around to test (Family Guy SLUS-21560) but it was a no-go on my 80GB phat 3.55 kmeaw. Just flashes a few blank screens and says:

"This title is not currently compatible with the PS3 system. If you update your system software the title may become compatible with your system."

I guess I'm out of the question aswell.
My PS3 is NTSC and I own NO NTSC games.
Is there a way ti swap my console's region?
Let's say using xregistry.sys?

Hi,
I had tried this awhile back on FW 2.53.
The compatibilty wasn´t very good and the games I tried all had problems. Basicly it´s the Cobra pen compatibilty
ViperTurbo, I´m pretty positive this was only working on fw 2.50 to 2.53 and didn´t work on 3.55.
Is it possible that they reactivated this on 3.72? a better version than the 2.53 ps2 emulator. could be interesting.
Unfortunately I only have a ps2 compatable ps3 so I can´t try this on 3.55 kmeaw.

Have you tested on Service Mode? Cause PS2 games only play on Service Mode, on no BC models. Only original games work, if your PS3 is UK, US PS2 games don't work do to region lock on PS2 software.
Cause i have a PS3 80GB on Kmeaw, and all PS2 games i have are working fine, some bugs here and there, but that's normal.. Backups only work if your drive is opened.. I recommend you to read the first post, and read some comments, to better understanding.

If you are on 3.55 or 3.41, if i remember well, there is a homebrew dedicated to change your country region drive, but don't know if it is also for PS2 games, or just DVD movies.. Don't remember the name, but i know it exists that program.. May be a solution for you.

In my 80gb model, 3.55 and some other users, voted, that are working.. Slims it seems to be a big problem.. On 3.72 slim 120gb first model on portugal, only version i tested, not 3.70, and the emulation for games seems to have been upgraded.. Sorry if im not explaining well, im no expert as i've said before.. Im trying to answer all the question and problems the best i know.. But thanks for comment
Btw, if you have a 60GB or 80GB BC model, you don't need to be on service mode, just play your games, backups, only with drive open, or other way that i don't know.

Yes I am in service mode. Yes the disc/regions match. No it isn't a backup. I have read and understood the information perfectly fine. Just informing you that, in my case, it doesn't seem to be working.

Thanks for sharing.. Don't have any other game to test like GT4? Or a friends game? If possible of course.. It's just for us to know if is just that game, maybe just incompatibility.. Even 60GB aren't fully compatible with all games.. Could be one, maybe?

None right now. I tried my old Swap Magic 3 Plus discs, not expecting much, and they did the same. I will try and test some more if I can lay my hand on some legit discs. Cheers.
