In my young ages I made a kind of transparent box/display (sorry, don't know a better translation) with ants in it. There were a lot of ants in it. For the ants I was a kind of God. Does someone think I could recognize one ant from another or I would think some ant was special because the ant believed in my existence? Not really actually. I only looked at the big picture, what did they make of the "world" I gave them.

The same goes to my opinion for any God we make up. He/She/It will only look at the complete picture. Not if we believe in Him/Her/Its existence or act the way He/She/It wants. He/She/It will only look what we make of the world and to my opinion we make a big mess of it

He/she/it, being something we made up and not a real thing, wouldn't do anything at all :P

That is certainly true...even when you have a monotheistic country, people start killing each other over tiny differences in interpretation. Of course, if there were no religions, people would just find other reasons to kill each other.

There is One fact that is immutable in Any definition of what you may believe the world to be......

'We do not know"

It is a Fact that we do not know, not an assumption nor a scientific theory, we simply do not know. Now that initial starting point has been proven (please think long and hard about it before you say it has not been proven), it can be taken that other things Must be factual as well. An individuals interpretation of them may differ, but it does not and cannot alter the basic starting block that is a fact.

Science and Religion both have the same starting blocks "Who am I? Why am I here?." The sad difference in them is that Religion has forced a dead end route because it has attempted to coerce mankind into following a few mens misguided belief that they Do actually know.

Hope that clears it up for both sides

Depends on it... the ant world was in a room. If I entered the room I could see all kind of things (let's call it an universe). Depending on my way to spend my time I could look at the ant world but also at all other kind of things in the room. I could also choose to not enter the room of course. But you can't deny everything we know and see and everything we don't know and don't see is somehow created with a purpose or a result of an action made by He/She/It
I compare the Big Bang (theory) always to a very slomo piece of firework, fire a sky rocket and imagine the explosion of it takes 14 billion years. Like in the tv shows Time Warp, a camera with 14.000.000.000 (years) x 365.25 (days) x 24 (hours) x 60 (minutes) x 60 (seconds) x Y (Y= number of Hz) frames a second
