I'll give it a shot... I decided to update my slim ps3 some weeks ago to 3.72 and i know for sure this slim was one of the originals (aka 3.20 pre-packaged slim). Who cares if i get a gray screen ? i'll get a chip eventually xD

It seems there are only a few users in luck with this method.. And mostly are not happy, and not working.. I'm really sorry.. I don't know how i can help more.. I will see if i search a little on my PS3 of any changes compared to others, and will compare also the files responsable for loading PS2 on a 60GB with a 80GB, to see if it can been "copy", or not..

I've just tryed to help... Really sorry.

And also to inform you, i've downgrade the slim of my friend to 3.55, and tryed to play ps2 games, and it came out with the same error people are reporting of format not supported.. But on 3.72 it recognises. Don't know if it my be cause of PS2 classics..
Someone with more experience can explain.

If any one wants me to close the thread, i understand, i'm not capable of doing a video and post here, cause im switching home, need to change ISP,.. , and i'm using my mobile to post, and search for some links on youtube, like on main post.. But when i can, i will do it, at least to prove, me and maybe the rest 7 people who voted working, not thinking it's fake, or me a liar...

I would test this have a few games to test.. But cant get into service mode.. My usb dongle pc update button is broke..

Does that psp jig work.?. thought i read it wasnt working? need to find where my psp is.. been awhile since i seen it ..

OFW 372 you know that was a firmware update i believe sony added or is soon to add ps2 support or already did ? I don't know. If you read about that on sony site a few weeks ago .They were supposed to give PS2 support in the next firmware update.. I will check later i have PS3 on OFW 372 ,i am wondering if it works i did not try ?

@VIRGIN KLM - I know what you are saying ,but we don't know the PS3 100% there are secrets we still do not know i guarantee this ! Eventually they will be found in time i will bet this.. I was pointing out all kinds of possibilities that can maybe be look into to learn how & why + how they work+ what are the full functionality of the self files . There is these emu self files for each . So my comment was for research meaning i was not saying that they will just work by clicking on them = I meant to learn from the files & the PS2 data from PS store & maybe a knowledgeable being can find some good information to help run other games some how..I don't think all this time devs may have not looked into PS2 game until the PS1 FIND ALL OF A SUDDEN..

The PSN ps1 + minis etc.. Games work cause they use the files in the firmware + I know this i have a ofw ps3 +They had to be coded most likely to b able run them + communicate with the combination of firmware + existing files on ps3 ..In case you did not know like i said there is PS2 downloadable Format software from PS store & i downloaded it. I cant remember it was a long time ago over 2yrs since i read about it .But on the ps store it is explained .If i remember correctly it said you can format the ps3 to run ps2 games with that PS2 downloadable data/format software !

It looked like a PS2 game system icon bubble when downloaded = Like a PS2 phat .. The fact is like i said b 4 we don't know the PS3 100% & there can 100% be unfounded info in this system ,there are a crap load of encrypted data .I bet graf got to read a good part of it. But i am sure he was or knows some good info . It is to bad that all those geohot fan boys donated geohot all that money for false hope + when graf needed help

I bet none of these geohot fan boys helped graf, because these fanboys only cared about COD online modded lobby's!! Not sure if this works on the 3.72 pup... Viperturbo, do you think you could try using this to extract the 3.72 emulator self, copy it over the 3.55 one you've been testing and see if the compatibility issues you discussed improve?
