$ony is postponing the lawsuit as long as possible because they know their pathetic million euro claim will never hold but it is a great weapon against other PS3 developers to scare them away

And yes, I have stopped buying $ony equipment, even before they sued graf. I buy Samsung now for most of my needs. I started with my Samsung Galaxy last year, before I always bought $ony mobile phones but started hating $ony on that front also because they made a (sim locked) FW allowing Vodafone to block the use of mp3's as a ring-tone on my latest model. With hacking I de-blocked it, but only the fact $ony made it possible for Vodafone to have this kind of control over me was making me angry. It was the last time I ever bought a sim-locked phone, sim-locked isn't the same as FW-locked imho

My next gen console will be the new Wii I think. Or I wait that long I can get a second hand PS4 if $ony will ever make a PS4 at all

I promised to be there at the lawsuit against graf to protest against the dictatorial behavior of $ony and that promise still stands. maybe we can start a kind of Occupy Corrupt Courtrooms

Last I heard, this is the situation:

-Sony bribed a judge to place a court order against Graf to prevent him from releasing anything until the lawsuit was over.
-Sony then delayed the lawsuit, making it clear that when the lawsuit was over, the PS3 would be old news.
-Graf released part of a driver for linux.
-The judge said that by releasing something theoretically capable of running on a PS3, graf had violated the court order, and would go to jail for doing so.

...So he is probably in jail...technically it is for violating a court order by a dirty judge, but really he is in jail for writing part of a hardware driver.
