Give it time with new games.. There is more holes in the PS3 then a piece of swiss cheese.. Problem is that damn plastic wrapper is giving us all fits...

There was no Keys in the 3.41 days... So the talk we need keys isnt all that correct..
JFW is correct there.. not saying they have a method.. but its not all about the keys...

Exact reason right here why a CFW should not be shared with a pirate. Sitting there saying should I buy them? when you want to play them means BUY THEM. I don't care if the game is of little value to you since you can't play off the disc. Support the guys who made it.

Also one should think how many sales are they losing from legit CFW users...

How many ads have seen you games you cant play on a system you own...
How many of those ads say requires the latest firmware..

I wish i had money to waste on sony.. in court...

Bottom line Sony creates pirates.. A person would buy the game to play on CFW..
Most of you pirates are underaged kids... Adults with a job and work.. Doesnt have time to enjoy even if they do pirate... you can only play a small amount of games.. in a given timeframe..

Pfff, I have NEVER expect a defeatist mentality from anyone here (no offence) - that's a first!

On top of that though, OtherOS/media support are not the kind of features that would make anyone switch to using a jailbreak-based solution.

Lastly, if anyone wants to be able to defeat the security infrastructure on the PS3, then the only way we can deal with this is:

- Go back to the drawing board
- Look into the PS3's security infrastructure
- Find ways to exploit it, AND;
- MOST IMPORTANTLY, RELEASE AN EXPLOIT ANONYMOUSLY!

However, it's "easier said than done" though, and there's too many issues that hinder this, like dealing with drama-whores and Sony and being able to deal with such issues successfully but THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT ANYONE HERE SHOULD SURRENDER AT ALL!

i thank saint elegant for his words there. did i mention that my friend owns a store and i would borrow the game from him then return it to his store. so is that piracy? i think not. so go just ask for some info before u go calling people names.

and even if i was pirate, mind your own business, please. its guys like u who think they understand everything that make me hate forums.

Don't give up guys come on now, all you have to do is wait....I mean your just going to lose faith on the PS3 just because no one found keys to the latest firmware? I for one am waiting for better and greater things to come on PS3, for now though I need to fix it first.......now wheres my hammer???

Yeah, we're fighting a losing battle but it's not over yet and nobody knows what will happen in the future.

Either way, nobody can convince me that this is good for anybody. Yeah, new games can't be pirated and that's good but when you can't play a new game, you're absolutely not going to buy it. I bought a crapload of PS3 games in the past and the last time I got screwed was the day I bought Portal 2. So from that point, 2 things could have happened:

1. new games became playable - Zara kept buying games, conveniently backed them up and played them on his CFW PS3 (since online gaming means nothing to him and he never bothered with PSN)

2. new games remained unplayable - Zara went and bought a 360 for which he buys games he can conveniently backup and play, and left his PS3 in the corner

I don't know how many people caved in and bought a second PS3 (good for you, I don't like to waste money and even if I did I don't plan to give any more of it to Sony EVER) or just updated to OFW but I know I'm not the only one who just thought "f*ck it" and stopped spending money on anything PS3 related. So how is that good for anybody?

We have no online play and we are probably never going to have it more than a few days at a time. Sony is a harsh mistress. We have not lost all the battles and we will probably get 3.7x game support at some point...but I doubt we will ever have reliable PSN access, which is one of the cornerstones of this console generation. The best thing we have right now is half dual-boot...and that just allows you to turn off jailbreak.

i remember when online was working by using different certs and using charles . it was too good to be true. like you said if we are able to go online using a jailbroken ps3 it'll only be for a short period of time.

True, but you are not supporting the developers anymore. Renting and pirating just about even out nowadays. The main point is you are not paying the developers for their work. Although it is legal to rent and borrow and trade and so on and so forth you are still hurting the devs. And he did say he was going to buy them if no way was created to play them, he could've said rent but he didn't so to me that translates into one thing!

It's legal but my above point still stands. I didn't make any claim to know everything, you're putting words in my mouth now. Also, if it's not my business to talk about it then people should not allow the topic to surface in the first place. If they're free to talk about, I am free to comment on it, it's that simple.

Lastly, I don't want to hear about how rich said company/dev is; it's a worthless argument.
