I've just found a guide ..

It said that the drive must be sata and 5400.

Is there anything else i need to look out for such as size....etc?


and is there some games that will only play on an external drive?

Hmmm...

From looking at that link it seems that there are more games that can run off an external drive than the internal one.

yes that is usally the case. i would sugest you get a good external with its own power supply. no bigger than 1tb as the ps3 wont be able to read it.

I've got an internal sata hard drive (for a desktop pc) so maybe i could just get an external case/caddy for it ?


Also I've just downloaded the multiman 02.09.02 update, will i need to uninstall the one i have before installing it or will it just overwrite the old one?

just install it over the one that is there.

i thought games on a extnal hdd had to be in a folder called GAMEZ

I bought a 1TB external hard drive and multiman still didn't show any games, so i installed the update and they all showed up

So i thought I've finally got it all up and running then i went back to the main xmb and the only thing that was there was the LV2 patcher.... gaia manager, multiman , bdemu2,.....etc are all missing.


Does anyone know what could have caused this as it looks like I'm going to need to reinstall it all ?
