One word NEITHER.
Usenet is the way to go and before people say it costs money, you can get it for free very easily.

Usenet is good if you have the bandwidth to use it properly. I only get 5MB/s from my DSL provider.
While (ugh) shaw cable offers 100mbit downstream, but is uber expensive

but i use BOTH, jdownloader for links like rapidshare, netload or megaupload, and torrents if i can't find it with hosting sites. BUT if something NEW is released like a new movie or game, then hosting sites is the fastest way, no need to count how many GREEDY seeders are there and GREEDY LEECHERS, Rapidshare and netload and multiupload give me MAX speed 20mb/s = 2.2MB per seconds, instantly, so yeah hosting sites are the best for me, and for some sites like netload you hev to make a script to reconnect for ip changing, IF you have a dynamic ip, otherwise jdownloader is no use at all, i alm not going to whait a hour for part2 to download, since its mostly 1 download per ???? hours and the only whay they now it, is by your ip adress EDIT; Found a free usenet FOR LIFE, but it has max 2 connection and max 1mbit speed, VERY LOW SPEED for me http://www.xsusenet.com/en/ Last edited by EmBoLa.be; 10-22-2011 at 12:23 PM. |

@EmBoLa.be
im not going to name the usenet providers i use (been going strong for 2-3 years now with no issues) but what you do is. a: set up an account at trashmail.net so you can get instant disposable email addresses b: find a free trial with usenet that does not require credit card details c: register with disposable email and get unlimited 48hr usenet i can go through the process in 30sec and it does me fine. always keep the password the same and you only ever need to change username in your nzb client. address and name info i just usually type random letters instead of real info. when i dont need a high retention i use xsusenet and my free usenet via my ISP which takes it to around 400-500kb/s download rate which is my maximum anyway
