GeoGot and his God complex (as well as his spoilt boy attitude) is what ruined the scene more than anything.

He gave Sony power that they did not possess before and never would have possessed because he needed to feed his MASSIVE ego and then realised that the world does Not revolve around him and did a runner leaving people with less money and ZERO chance of reversing the precedent he set himself by publically (in the eyes of the law) admitting that anything we do to OUR console breaks the law.

Like him, hate him, for the sake of the Holy Sausage you can even want to have his babies, but please do not Ever think that he helped anyone but himself and through his actions hurt others and had a DIRECT influence on the ability for Sony to treat Graf as they have done with the full approval of the law.

The 'man' should be ashamed but his ego will never let that happen as he still is, in his eyes, God.

Even if some people don't like him, he started the scene destroying the hypervisor security with the glitch hack.

Jaikbreak, failoverfl0w, etc wouldn't exist without that great first step.

jailbreak etc had nothink to do with geosnot . it was the ps3 jig/service dongle that got leaked to the jailbreak team then reverse engineered by proper devs .which is hoe the ps groove and freedom came about .

You don't have any idea about what you are talking. Jailbreak was an overflow exploit, the service dongle doesn't allow to run unsigned code, any info about the service dongle was pretty much useless.
And to find the exploit, a full ps3 memory dump was needed. And for that, geohot glitch did the job.

the jailbreak was the ps3 jig dongle which we could run unsigned codes which was leaked to the jailbreak team from someone at sony
