You can jtag a flashed 360. However once you jtag, you're gone from XBL.

I don't mean to be taking a mod seat here, but I personally would appreciate it if you typed a little clearer, it was very difficult for me to understand your question, and I had to read your post numerous times before I understood it completely. Be careful when you solder, and always always do some practice on scrap circuitry before attempting it on something as expensive as an Xbox.

Thanks for the info,im trying my best to write correctly but sometimes i make such mistakes.BTW i bought a slim xbox 360 because many of the jtagable systems are older models that one day will just overheat.Im just afraid of that so ill send my slim to be hacked/chiped.

To employ the JTAG/SMC hack, you need to check the xbox revision + the kernel version installed on the box.

"8498 and Higher - Any console with a kernel 8498 and higher have been patched to stop the hack.

7371 and lower - Any console with the 7371 kernel or a lower version of the kernel are most likely vulnerable to the hack.(Explained Below)

Kernels 7357/7363/7371

These 3 Kernels are what you may call the "iffy" kernels. Some contain a patched CB which makes the console un-exploitable.

How do you know if your console has the patched CB?

1.If the console manufacture date is BEFORE 6-1-2009 then the CB in the 360 will not be patched and you can perform the JTAG hack on it.

2. If the console manufacture date is AFTER 6-1-2009 then it is to have the patched CB and will not be able to get JTAGGED."

Taken from http://www.xboxmb.com/forum/39-jtag-...-jtagable.html

Also, unless I'm gravely mistaken, the slim Xbox is only vulnerable to the RGH, not SMC. The ones I know of which are JTAG-able on a lowered dash version is: Xenon, Zephyr, Falcon, Opus, and Jasper. A slim will either have a Trinity or a Corona. Once again, unless I'm gravely mistaken...

he can do the rgh to any 360 thats not a xenon, and now that ggbuild is out they have the same functions as the jtags, rgh can be done to any 360 including slims as it does not matter the dash

Oh I know he can do an RGH to it, but that's why I specified JTAG/SMC, and didn't say something like "To be able to run unsigned XeX code" etc. I think we both know what the other meant.
