2. patch FW to run debug eboot
3.Rip 3.60+ games
4.burn 3.60+ games to bd-dvd with debug eboot
5.add crap drm to mfw
6. add dongle to validate said crap drm in said mfw
7. sell dongles and pirated games
8.....
9.....
10. PROFIT

sounds simple to me

i.e patch kmeaw to run debug eboots, enjoy, until sony locks down debug eboots xD

You're forgot an important part, which is actually getting debug EBOOTs for each 3.60+ game, which would basically require all of them to be leaked unencrypted, and even if that were the case, they could be encrypted with retail 3.55 keys.

debug eboots have no encryption and anybody with a debug unit can get said eboots from the dev network they can access with their debug ps3. debug units use FSelfs (fakesign). so i didn't forget anything

Does this dongle work? So far it seems 50/50 and even if it does work the method is pretty useless for people who have original copys and want to back them up.

Today i saw my friend using this dongle wich i dont even know that the dongle exist (I'm often looking for ps3 information here). The dongle are heavy, because its enclosure made from metal..

Well i can tell you that the dongle are real, and i'm not telling you to believe me (there's no profit for me hehe..),

Dongle is DRM to make sure you have the dongle, the firmware 'special' functionality will not work without it. Contentdisc's contain fself'ed eboot.bin's EBOOT.BIN deatils

Below is a preliminary synopsis from moogie via ps3devwiki.com

JB2's dongle updater pkg, its EBOOT.BIN is just an FSELF (fake signed), the Driver: SF eboot fix is also an FSELF, FSELF's are mean't for debug consoles, easier to fself your game, then to actually sign it, you can patch retail FW to run FSELF's, either through the fw, or you can modify PL3, or even, resign the EBOOT.BIN, its nothing special, from the looks of it, they don't have any keys, just debug EBOOT.BIN's.

You don't need that dongle either, just resign the EBOOT.BIN or patch the FW to run FSELF's, their MFW could have these patches, or maybe, their dongle deliver's the patches. I do not know for sure, maybe their dongle does something else entirely, but I know its an FSELF, and you can make that run, without their dongle.
