This speculation comes from trusted devs. Although he may be somewhat of an ass, Mathieulh has not ever lied to the scene as far as I can remember. He does not like to release stuff in fear of Sony's wrath, but he knows his stuff.

saw the wiki stuff ages ago and that is not reversed but it is a good start, no where does it say beyond a shadow of a doubt everything the dongle does. also, what proof do you have that @mathieulh is wrong?

I believe there's no encryption in the first place. So there would be no need for a key to decrypt. I'm not 100% certain on this, but it makes sense to me.

Ruh roh, from what I can barely understand, that does not sound good.
If your ps3 is on 3.66 OFW, regardless of if it was an accident or not, then you're down, but not out completely.
You can look in a solderless option like E3 Flasher to downgrade back to 3.55, or if you have some soldering skills you can use something like Progskeet.


Did I read that right? He purchased JB2, and then installed the wrong firmware? Do you think there's a possibility that multiupload link was put up to troll the hell out of people? Lol, thinking you're installing JB2 CFW, but turns out to be 3.66 OFW. Ouch!

correct me if I'm wrong but as i understand that if this jb is reverse ingeneered then the 3.6+ keys will be obtained and 3.6+ games will be playable on 3.55 cfw, now my question is can those keys be used to make 3.6+ cfw for those who are stuck in there.

No, I have not understood me through this, I downloaded 3.66 from ps3hax I did not know there was: (3:55 kmeaw was my machine was originally 3.66 now no longer a solution that did not have an machine
