From my understanding now, if the eboots are unencrypted we have absolutely nothing key wise. We have an eboot that we can easily replace in the appropriate game to play it. I still wonder if there's a trace of the 3.6x keys anywhere in those eboots that we might be able to find (I do not mean the eboot is encrypted).

I don't get it - if these are only debug eboot's why havent we used these eboot's ages ago?
And math is saying the got the 3.60+ keys on their dongle? Why ? They wont need these keys if its just a debug eboot? |

So basically we need 2 things:
1. A patch for 3.55 CFW to load DEBUG eboot.bin files in games, and...... 2. The actual DEBUG eboot.bin file for the game in the first place. AND........ I think, if u look back thru this thread for my last post, I did say something about the GAME being patched and burnt, not the actual console, so I may have been slightly right!! WOOP WOOP!! Maybe my limited knowledge has got something right after all!!

I am guessing developers also have test consoles to test their games on.
I doubt that the debug eboots have the keys cos as we saw when $ony released 3.60, devs were still releasing update patched with 3.55 keys on them. Why use keys if you dont have to, so eboots are probably not encrypted. Real question is, who has debug eboots? We will still be relying on those people to obtain the eboots, and as we know $ony will block access to them pretty quickly, In fact they'll probably block it before anyone can make patches for cfw to use these, so it'll be a lost cause. Only one thing is for certain, the group selling this dongle will make a loss as people have already figured out how it works and can probably release a new cfw within a week which has the same features.

QUESTION:
If someone got hold of a BOOTLEG copy of PES12, ripped it, extracted the eboot.bin and compaired it to an original eboot.bin, could we not see the differences and ATTEMPT to apply them to other games eboot.bin file?? Dunno if this would work at all to be honest, but it could be an idea?? P.S. A picture of a game in the XMB proves nothing.....

Surely if u put the game into a NON-3.55-dongle firmware PS3 it will just show up as a data disc, then u would be able to access the files on the disc, also, using this method multiMAN should be able to do the same in the file manager??
