The procedure said:
Step 1:instal 1.01
Step 2:instal 1.02
Step 3:instal 1.03 by scorpion
Step 4:unlock bosses
The procedure for unlocking bosses said:
- Delete mk9 game data
- Install 1.02 retail update (3.55 cfw only)
- EP1018-BLUS30522_00-UNLOCKSCOPION2K7.pkg (Usa)
- EP1018-BLUS30522_00-FIXBOSSCOPION2K7.pkg (Usa)
Step 5....instal other players.
So, the answer to you question is 1.02.

if you look in the other post i linked you to the tut i followed. and thats how i got it to work. then i installed the pkgs for the dlc as they came out.

That first tut I have already tried, it didn't work and so I have started this discussion. After that I tried the tut from EmBoLa.be, which seemed to be more complete and I thought it will work, but it didn't. Every time starting with the clean game folder, as it came from unpacking the torrent, and deleting game data and save data from PS3 console. In your player grid do you have all the players? The 3 bosses AND the 4 DLC characters? If that is so, what the hell am I doing wrong? It's starting to become really frustrating.

here is a idea. i had trouble at one time with a extra quan chi showing up in my player select menu. try this.
After Doing all the mods go back and get the COALESCED.INI from the mkps3dlc folder and replace that. its worth a try.

I don't have CyberSubzero because I have deleted my save games. In his place there is a boss, then to the left another boss, Kratos, a boss and the last place is a DLC character. And that's it. The list doesn't run to the left any more, it's fixed at this point, no mater how many DLC I instal, I still have only 3 bosses, Kratos and one DLC, that keeps changing into the last one I instal. Is it because I need to unlock CyberSubzero first? Somehow in his place a boss enters and screws up the grid?

Ive tried this then I kept getting an error, I read somewhere that u need to have an ofw. So I was thinking can anyone just post the mk game thats already modded? with the files for skarlet and the rest already in the folders, so when I play the game its already there... pls

last nite my hands feel so itchy to try this, what i do was,

1. Delete Mortal Kombat 9 game data, saved games no need to be remove.
2. install all patch in order, 1.01, 1.02, 1.03scorpion
3. install unlockmods in order, unlock, unlock2, unlock3, & unlock4
4. Then install boss fix
5. Finally replace original *.txt* & *xxx* files with modded one using computer.

The result is, MAGIC!!! esy like a charm, can play with all dlc character, TQ TS
