help bsod

Hello i have a little problem with a ps3 slim it has the blue screen of death with a bunch of letter that tell me to press x but it wont work. Is there a fix need help thx in advance

well it was a friend that gave it to me. The ps3 is in OFW 7.72 he was playing and tuned of the ps3 and the when he turned it on again it had a blue screen sorry for my english

If there is text on the screen, it is almost certainly fixable...the only issue being that many of the tools to fix such an issue are locked to firmware 3.55 or lower. Do you get a black screen if you remove the hard drive?

well if i remove the hdd when the ps3 is on or do i remove it an then test it. I will do both a get back to you guy later i'm in college wen i gethome ill give it a try and tell you my results or make a video thx.

Well i tried what you told me and i got a black screen when i turned the ps3 with out the hdd then it said Cannot start. The correct hard disk was not found. And i i did remove the hhd to while in the blue screen

havwe you tried recovery mode . and the option rebuild database

yes but when i press yes the screen goes black and nothing happens

Connect the drive to a PC and format it to NTFS. Then put it back into the system and put firmware 3.72 onto a flash drive. When it starts up, it will ask for the flash drive...plug it in and follow the on-screen prompts.
