the guys in charge of the ps3 security are amateurs. why couldn't they make the games use libraries that only exist in fw3.56+ ? that would make them unplayable on lower firmwares.

it's incredible that the hackers didn't even need to jailbreak the newest firmwares since there's a workaround to make the games play on the lower ones (!)

Looks like some retailers are selling the dongle at $99 each. This may be a scam, be warned.

[QUOTE=EmBoLa.be;268724]IT's NOT NOOB, BUT NEWBIE,

Yeah, I know...off-topic, but very relevant not just here, but everywhere (Ok, more so here with the constant spamming of stupid questions):

II. Defining 'Noob'
Contrary to the belief of many, a noob/n00b and a newbie/newb are not the same thing. Newbs are those who are new to some task* and are very beginner at it, possibly a little overconfident about it, but they are willing to learn and fix their errors to move out of that stage. n00bs, on the other hand, know little and have no will to learn any more. They expect people to do the work for them and then expect to get praised about it, and make up a unique species of their own.

EmBoLa.be: When I read many of these noob/newbie posts...I think many people around here are being VERY kind to them by refering to them as noobs or newbies...

All...sorry for going off-topic, but I REALLY WISH many of these posters would take the time to read before posting. ****...even I don't read all 700+ posts to figure out whats going on. I just go to the last page, read the last 5, 10 or 15 posts...which normally, you should be able to figure out pretty quickly from there what has been happening.

I will remain quiet and on-topic from now on. Thanks for reading

ok there is WAY too much back and forth about this dongle and not enough investigation into what this thing does. rather it's real or fake, BS or not, let's use the technology to further the scene. Maybe if we learn how to ask for more info without saying something is fake, we will get more. That's why Dev's don't want to share info anymore, we're so quick to dismiss it. we need to let things develop before we start hollering BS or FAKE. We are all intelligent thinkers on this scene. i would hate to think otherwise, IMO.

i know that the burden of proof is on the developer and there are a lot of scammers out here. let's give the developer enough time to prove themselves. if we did it with demonhades, surely we can do it with the developers of this dongle.

I never knew there was a difference myself... That's keen.

It's hilarious how the first site copy/pasted all the info from forums and put it as their description. Obviously they have no idea about it.

Me neither, the above definition was from urbandictionary.com...but the general consesus around the web provides same or similar definition.
