I didn't understood some few things:
1)if I am on 3.55cfw I need to install (jb2)by recovery mode and if I am on 3.55ofw I need to install it stragiht in the xmb?
2)can I still run old games and that are out (not the new games that came this september month the games before this september that were out on external hdd)?
3)Compability 3.55kmeaw it means that that can boot 2 cfws at once ?

I am new here so I dont know the talking code so I am very sorry if I am do any kind of mistake.
I will be glad to an answer thankes to all helpers and tell me if I am do any kind of mistake and how I can fix it.

1)I saw the jailbreak 2 Q&A and my question is if I am on 3.55 ofw I can install jb2 on my ps3 via system update in the xmb and if I am on 3.55 kmeaw I need to install jailbreak 2 via recovery mode right?
2)If I use the 3.55 kmeaw cfw and install jailbreak 2 on ps3 it mean's that I can no longer return to 3.55 kmeaw or when I use the dongle I am on the dongle's cfw and when I dont use the dongle I return to 3.55 kmeaw?

am not sure but what i want to know is that am on 3.73 is they a way to downgrade or jb 3.73?

You can always re-install whatever firmware you're on.. You're on 3.55 so it doesn't matter what variation (Kmeaw, Rebug, JB2 etc) you're using or want to switch to.

You're safest bet is to re-install OFW 3.55 first, then install the other FW you want. So, you're on Kmeaw now, install OFW 3.55, then install JB2. To return to Kmeaw, install 3.55 OFW, then install Kmeaw.

You're safest bet is to install these from recovery mode, Google how to get to that menu if you don't know how.

It gets more complicated when you want to run say, a 3.41 CFW or clean the PS3 before updating to 3.73.

Also, don't forget to take loads of pictures and videos when it arrives! =P

@daniel_larmer : You need to get a Progskeet and use that to downgrade, if you're not confident at soldering, check out 360-clip.com for a NAND clip (they'll be releasing a NOR clip soon). To find out which one you need, if it's a Phat there's a sticker at the back and it'll say CECHX01 and the X is what's important. CECHA-CECHH are NAND, everything else is NOR (including all slims).

@Mistawes i cant find anything its says stuff about xbox and wii how much will it cost me?
also i dont want to open my console or anything isnt there a pen drive or something that can downgrade my firmware?

no. you need to open and fit a hardware flasher
