This makes sense, because there's a much higher chance of those combos working on PSN as well, and if the password was just recently changed after the hack (for example) that'd be a sign of suspicious activity.

Besides, you're arguing entirely from speculation and then attacking Sony for not responding to something that may not even be happening. What other nonexistent threats have they not responded to well enough to meet your satisfaction?
nonexistent threats? PSN was hacked along 2011 how many times?..seriously are you kidding me?.
All along this year that i bought ps3 on march i recieved more mails from Sony about PSN shutdown/etc/etc (you name it) than spambots.
And the worst of all of this i didn't log in since april.
It's ok like i said it's my point of my view, maybe what's right for me it's wrong for you.
The world Spins, PSN it's online and running fine = all your data it's totally encripted and secure. Do not worry about that, $ony gave their word after what happened (PSN hacked and massive shutdown on *i don't remember well the month*) and some people choosed to believe them, im part of that minority maybe that don't believe a shi@$! about them.
they lost credibility, and when all went down (very bad) what's was their move? give 2 free games...come on.

Peace

Methinks you need to read for comprehension. Your post was an attack on Sony for responding poorly to this threat. Except it wasn't a threat. You disliked their handling of a nonexistent threat.

Then I'm sure you're not on PSN and haven't bought anything from it since the hack... right?

Methinks this thread's been touched too much, for the wrong reasons. the situation is over, sure 93,000 (a lot of people) had issues with their PSN, but it wasn't the millions of accounts like the REAL breach, this was nada in comparison, my psn was fine and I was unaffected, so were a good 50MILLION+, let it go. This isn't a direct response to anyone it's just my way of saying: it's over, stop fighting.

Your point of view not mine if you love $ony i don't have a problem with that, about the second quote, nope i don't buy anything from PSN since that incident and until this day when i THINK PSN worth trying maybe i will give it a shot (to buy something).

I will end this *discussion* with this = Nothing is true; everything is permitted.

Peace.

It's not a point of view. It's a goddamned fact. There was no threat, and yet you attacked Sony for how they responded to something that didn't exist.

No it isnt over and finished so lets forget it. Today one of my alt accounts was notified that her account was one of the ones that had been compromised by Sonys lack of security.
So I closed it and only have my main account open now.
To the poster who said there are 50 million users who were okay, plucking figures out of the air to buff up your weak statement makes you look foolish not intelligent, and regardless of how many users there are who were not compromised by Sony lack of security, over 90 thousand of us were.
The people who did this were just as bad also. They are nothing but thieves liars and cheats. To those lover bois posting here of Lulz and Anonymous who wear masks in public because they do not have the courage to face the ones they harm, yes they did do something wrong. How idiots on the forum can say they were doing nothing wrong when they used information obtained from thiefs who stole accounts and passwords, then by trying to sign in with those stolen accounts they falsely represented themselves to be the person who originally owned the stolen account. That is fraud and deception and in all countries I am aware of they are criminal offences.
So if you know nothing about the law best you crawl back under your stones and zip it up.
