and i wrote it ( downgrade.bin.rev )
then when i tried to write it again : my NOR chip type: unknown
i checkd the cables , all connected

may be the file i flashed changed the nor type?
is it possible ?????

and what i should do after that ?
connect my downgrade flash and press power eject ?
or connect the usb with files only ?
or the downgrade.bin.rev is corrupted ??????
dont use byte revers on norpatch, if you use norpatch.exe.

I use switch on D6 pin to avoid soldering/resoldering D6. 'Cliclk' and It becomes ps3 dongle, 'click' again and it become NOR flasher.
Or you simply use the modified version below. Its clock speed is set to 8MHz and the LED has been disabled (D6), so it doesn't interfere when it's soldered:

PSGrade for Teensy++ 2.0 (NORway vers., 8MHz, LED disabled): http://www.multiupload.com/V547CSWZ0C

bahaa_monier,USE this method.

http://psx-scene.com/forums/content/...rogskeet-1391/
It is easer and faster. And do not need FlowRebuilder and reverce.

judges, thanks for noLED_psgrade!!!

I had chip manufacturer unknown with spansion P and it made a good dump, i compared it with progskeet also.
The problem is that i could not write it with teensy because of manufacturer unknown.
Tried many times, always the same. Dumps are good but always get chip manufacturer unknown...

Anyone have a clue?

judges when you come online please contact me on mirc or pm.

chip manufacturer is unknown - it means that you have corrupted dump.

First of all, your dump is byte-swapped. Won't work. Don't do that. It's not required for NORway.

Secondly, did you do the dump when the manufacturer/chip id still was reported correctly?

You cannot fry your NOR by writing false data. It's just data. Whatever the content is.

My assumption is that one of your wires broke. You cannot check by just looking at them. You have to measure resistance. It's easy to brake one by bending it (if you've used single strand wires).

Since it did work correctly the first time, it's probably some hardware issue.

What is AWG32 ?
Did you consider the other hints? Especially routing of wires (EMI)?

AWG32 just defines the diameter of wires: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=32awg+wiki

Did you also write to your flash or did you just dump?
Are you using 5V from USB (removed power regular / bridged 5V pads again)?

Can you still dump with the same result? Is the content of the dump correct (norpatch)?
