Actually there is truth in that one. Discs cause wear on the laser and the ps3 laser has been known to fail (loading icon, no disc). It's not scratching discs, it is the laser failure, which can happen in a few years rather than countless.

smoking weed isn't legal in Holland it's tolerated, not that I have anything against weed.

sorry man I just think it's silly, I've never encountered such a thing in 26 years of gaming; BUT I'm sure it's still possible, however you'd have to be near obsessive for that to be your sole reason for having CFW.
