The most important thing i learned from these ps3 hacking is, do not simply make the decision if you are unsure on the situation.
i've email the e3 support continuously for 5 days, from asking the basic question until i hit the 10001100 error, re-open and finally manage to backup the 3.72 bios

anyway, i hope to share my result, and hopefully every one that would like to downgrade their ps3 will enjoy the same success as i am.

i took my playstation slim CHEC-2503B console apart and the nor chip is in the same position as the one on the e3 tutorial website

playstaion was very easy to disassemble too only took about five minutes. just need my e3 flasher now, hope it is here tomorrow!

I got a reply back last night from the e3 team...and am I disappointed. 1 flasher per console.....total crap! Only use their fw....more crap! The only good thing is you can remove it once you successfully downgrade. I asked them to consider changing those things...we'll see what their reply to that is. I need to see if I can cancel this...like someone said e3=fail!!!

i'm not understand why it can be remove from ps3 after downgrade but can't be re-install to another ps3... do they give you any explanation ?

That's just what they told me...I don't know too much when it comes to some of this stuff. They said something about the bios. I guess it gets married to whatever console you install it to. Maybe they can make way to unmarry later.

Their english isn't very good...maybe they just meant that the flasher only works with one console model, and that it doesn't fit any of the others?

Why would you want to? So far I have read more reports of bricked systems than "success" stories...and by success, I just mean being able to downgrade one time...not being able to use the advertised features.
