charging controller

hey guys another quick question, does the ps3 charge the controllers when it turned off???

No, they don't. Just connect them to a usb hub with external power

I would think so but have not tested it. Every USB port delivers 5 volts so it should work as long as the laptop is turned on

I use my Dreambox sat receiver hub for it, it is constantly on power

Why not try using RemoteJoy Lite that would be the best option to charge your controller via your laptop. I do it all the tiime and it works flawlessly.

There is no need for any programs to charge your controller. Plug it in to any USB port it will charge.
