In my case I already had the game in the internal HD.
MultiMan I used to copy it to the external hard drive, he made the split file automatically.

What happens if you don't delete the camera.txt?

Maybe this is causing the crashes as it can't find this file to load the camera positions?

but you have to set the game on to your internal hdd.
and copy the game via multiman to you external?

try refreshing multiman games list so it scans for new games

copy game to external hard drive (having split the 8gig file) ... launch multiman copy game to internal hd (multiman joins the split 8gig file) ... play game

in usrdir/bulid/main i found four .txt files, maybe problem is in them? try deleting it?
